Ladies First - Check Your Lipstick (1993)

In 1991, Disco dvia Barbara Beverly created girl group Ladies First that included Reesie Simmons, Loretta Locke, Crystal Smith and her daughter KiKi Kerrington all hailing from the tristate area. The group were trained at 3rd Dimension Records where Barbara served as an A&R and she quickly became their manager and mentor. Nepotism and Favoritism quickly tore the group about and they were down to 3 members in 1993 when they released the hit single 'Check Your Lipstick' featuring their DJ and friend, DJ Mooney.
