- On this trip I was shopping for rare, unique and rare records at Bargain City thrift store. There were several hundred records to search through. Their records are $1.00 each! You never know what you'll find while hunting for records in flea markets, thrift stores, and antique malls. Digging through old records in the wild is fun! Come join me!
That Rockin' With Wanda record is a killer album. The Queen Of Rockabilly! Worth a good chunk of change too!
Thanks! I like Rockabilly I'll definitely check and see if that one is still there. That store is close.
I was thinking the same, I have quite a few of hers but not that one. She even signed one for me at a record show. Jim
You rolled past Paul McCartney Venus and Mars.
Here is a good tip to clean the album covers, use 6oz of water and 1 oz of alcohol. For the vinyl go to Walmart and pick up a can of sprayway and a lint free rag. You will be blown away.
Would have snagged the Colorbox and whatever that was on Chess records
Yes Lofgrin played in Bruce’s band. His first band was called Grin. All his stuff is really good.
The way this fella handles his records. 😲🥴
Monaural and Tuco beat me to commenting on the Rockin with Wanda album. You didn't even check the condition! Could have been anywhere from $25-75 value. Then....Isaac Hayes, Billy Larkin , Oscar Petersen, Jerry Mulligan and Chet Baker.....for heavens sake - you could have paid for the trip with these alone!!!!!
I hope for the sake of my own blood pressure that all the covers were felt to be empty.
Yes. The Larkin, Mulligan Baker and Petersons should fetch at least 10-30, depending on condition. I think Wanda's vinyls will appreciate greatly over time.
A lot to sift through there. As already commented on the Wanda Jacksons, if in good shape, would have been my purchase.
Thanks! I'll have to see if it's still there.

I assume the two Wanda Jackson titles you passed by were either empty or ruined. I also saw Lesley Gore’s Golden Hits volume 2, one of her more difficult to locate titles.
I'm not sure if the Wanda Jacksons were in there or not. I'll have to check when I got back there.
What! you passed up Lesley Gore's 2nd Greatest Hits album!?!?!
Why are records backwards and/or upside-down so frequently when you go flipping? I find that too, and it's annoying. Of course Outkast "ATLiens" was just an empty cover, finding a hip-hop monster for $1 would be too much to expect. In fact, there were a lot of empty covers.
Yeah, I try to turn them around before I record but I was a little short on time. It annoys me too.
Wanda Jackson you left that. Come on man. But you stop at a stupid yes lp.
get that joan amatrading,i have all her albums she's great...
I'll look for that one when I go back. Thanks!
