Is that a hint they are working on freeroam cops? Because NFS Payback has very atmospheric chase soundtrack, cop chatter, different cop car types! It's just begging to be added!
I stealed RX-7 and was in a chase about 15mins. I found that after some time, Rhinos and Killswitch Chargers appeared (hint for heat levels?). Almost traveled half of the map, the city, cops were chasing me everywhere! That was very enjoyable!
N.B. The Crew devs improved their cop system in Calling All Units DLC. I hope Ghost will add freeroam cops in Payback too! Keep up with very good vids, Panthaa! I am enjoying them every time!

Damn, I missed out on getting this RX-7, and I just got the game yesterday on Monday 15th. Hopefully EA will add the RX-7 as a new car we can simply buy from the car dealerships in story mode and online free roam in a future update, that way for those of us who missed out on this car, we can just buy it.
They added back in the game about 2 weeks ago
Kuri Toa Yeah I know they brought it back 2 weeks ago, I was able to get it. I hope they bring the Plymouth Barracuda back too, that car looks badass. I can’t believe I missed out on the Plymouth as well, at least I did get the Mazda RX-7 I wanted. :)

Your idea for the cops is very awesome. Make yourself to roam around anywhere with them (just like in this event) and then just add a cooldown/escape system. Boom, (kinda) free roam cops.

They should make Bait Crate pursuits just like abandoned car pursuits and just have the escape point with no checkpoints or timers at all. It looks like it wouldn't be hard.
Here's my idea:
Even if there isn't police driving around, there could at least be 2 modes for Bait crates when you collect them. Below are the modes that you can select.
Free Escape mode is when there is no timers or checkpoints at all, and you can take whatever path you want to reach the escape point. This is exactly just like the abandoned car pursuits only you can use YOUR car to evade the pursuit in any direction or route you want.
Point-To-Point Escape a standard Bait Crate pursuits WITH checkpoints and timers.
The other only difference is that Free Escape mode will give you a very small amount of bank and rep, whereas Point-To-Point Escape mode will give you a lot more. So that way there still is a challenge to even the Free Escape pursuits.
Basically you can choose between the modes on a little menu screen that pops up right when you collect a Bait Crate.

Made a drift build of the RX7, absolute monster. At level 250 or so and it's currently getting 500,000 points on Drifting the Block. This is an insane car
was hopeing to have it as my drift car but its for race events 😢
