We know them already from their great Arrow Analyser, from which we will test the new version very soon.
Today we check their new fletching jig and compare it with the one we use from Bearpaw

I would love more fletching jig and fletching videos in general personally, Armin! Arrows can get expensive and fletching them myself is one thing I'm not too familiar with.

I want that. I could fletch arrows all day long, relaxes me. Will check it out.
    Thanks Armin😊

This video reminds me to try making my own arrows for when they no longer sell for me. Thanks Armin. 🙏

Well, never thought I needed it, but now I kinda want one 😂 I use 2 fletched arrows currently, because it's easier to do only two when you do it by hand 😁

Very nice just a couple modifications and I think it’s a winner. Do they sell it with right, left clamps. Thank you sir for sharing 👍🏼🏹🇺🇸

Do you do straight or helical fletching? What is historically accurate? Do you find that it makes a difference?

well, let me tell you what I do
I score my fletching path on the shaft of the arrow, in a way that the stem of the feather is completely buried under in the wood, I almost make a trench .
    never had a problem
arrow is on track and always straight

    • @ArminHirmer
      @ArminHirmer  3 роки тому

I guess that is the best solution. just only works for wood arrows though

U can easily make 4 fletched arrows by hand. I find it enjoyable using my fingers along with super glue lol

@@Daylon91 yes you can, you can with most Fletching arrangements to be fair if you have a good eye, however the ability to do 4 at the same time would separate me from some cash having just fletched 60 four fletch reenactment combat arrows over the last couple of weeks, it would really cut down my time per arrow

Well, you coul use this jig for 4 fletched arrows. Fletch them with 2 feathers as Armin explained, the turn the nock 90° and repeat the procedure. Can he done feather by feather only, though.
Or get the basic fletching tool from Cartel. Costs only about 25€, all metal and rotating option for 3 or 4 feathers.

Nice tool, but still too small for my manchu arrows with 9-10" long feathers. So i'll have to continue to use my selfmade "one-feather-at-a-time" fletching jig :)

  • @aaronaaaronson8869
