LMAO, the Brother @ 2:14 looked into the camera as if he thought he was going to put it *on* us, but seconds later he got interrupted by the disco ball...ha ha.
So true that iwas a teen then and honey best believe that's the way I was dressing for school you could pick up some nice fashion tips watching soul train. That was my biggest reason for watching. Not like this crap today
@Poopie pants I was a teen in the 1980s,. I know it sucked..I was there.. Cheap crappy music, cheap crappy cars, cheap crappy hair styles. Terrible TV the clothing was hideous..Neon colors should have never been used on clothing.. Shoulder pads and shoulder frilled winged on jackets or dresses..Not to mention Ronald Regan.. Preppies too..Fucking preppies and their keyboards..skinny ties..
….you do realize that’s pornstar Heather Hunter. She did porn during the weekday and dance on ST on the weekends. Think of her as our generation of onlyfans…
Sure, was Sassy. It made me dream of being a professional dancer. Even the stars of the day could act sing and dance it was an amazing time. I ended up punching a clock. Although i still have the desire to dance.
Real Talk: I would hit my Saturday chores early as a MoFo so that didnt miss Fat Albert or Soul Train. I actually feel sorry for today's youngster. The Sisthas (I included Rosie Perez here) and the Blazin Asian got me thru many a Saturdays.😀😀😀😀
My moma use to grease our scalps with Sulfer 8 while we watched Soul Train on Saturdays. I definately feel you on the sistas including Rosie and the Asian with that long hair!
I agree with you. They just need to change what they put in most of these foods. Like taking out all the bad stuff so that we won't be consuming what will mess up our bodies early. You'll see a good difference. I would like to be back to around 150 pds. I want my healthy and happy self back because I sure did change. I like the video too 😍💗
I know Soul Train dancers are not the best sample, but it is depressing how young people 30 years ago just looked so much better than young people today. Very few fat people or unhealthy looking people. Most had good facial development and looked naturally attractive. I don't know if it is the food supply or what, but we have degenerated.
Every Saturday morning with my Captain Crunch. American Bandstand right after. Lol.. I miss the 80s. And my Calvin Klein Jeans. Wait! That's the Early 80s.. Lol 😁
Lol that was a gd time during soul train! I had that album on Cassette (Bahahahah)! Karen White! Secret Rendezvous with baby face etc! The women were fly & the dancing was great!! Me & my sisters use to watch every Saturday! George Duke sound track intro!!
That "white guy" his name is called Ricky Lemoli. Let me tell you about that guy, he was one of the best dancers that show ever had; he was unbelievably coordinated and could dance with the best of them. He and Terrell were an amazing duo to watch and had some of the best routines. In all, soul has no race or color; everyone has it and that man Ricky Lemoli had it. Check him out on UA-cam here.
+Michelle Murry I can't agree on a best dancer. T. Evans, Big Louie. I started ST in the 70s. Damita Jo. The show was created for a reason. Check the REAL history before you chat back.
love the try but he wasnt fonkin at least whatever he was doing on this line doesn't plead his case of being a great dancer. but really that brings us to the whole problematic part of 80s-90s soul train. None of the males are really dancing at least not street or club dancing anyway mainly doing a bunch of routines doing a very effeminate version of early pop locking stage dancing and studio 54 sissy popping.
+The HighScience Project Pretty Boys! You didn't know. LOL. Actually the 70s did alot of the latest dances during the time. Still a Soul Train fan regardless.
Those were some good fun years. I used to watch a lot of soul train growing up and still watch reruns once in a while. I like to see how they are having fun with no worries, minding their own business and enjoying life just having a good time. These days are different. I like to look back at videos +( remembering good memories) like this
I LOVE THIS!! This is one of the best Soul Train clips that you will see on UA-cam. The white guy dancing on stage with the group didn't miss a beat - he is just killing it! Everybody looks so fit and trim and the I can't help thinking about Robert Townsend's "Hollywood Shuffle" with Jheri Curl. Oh, those were the days!
Whooo!! holy schnickens!! this show is the shit! I grew up wit it in the 90's and man was it really knockin! i went back and always checked out their old episodes wit cornelius when they would do re-runs of it!! No other show came close to the soul train! although there were others like it and great, i grew up wit this one, SOUL TRAIN WILL FOR EVER RULE!!
This is absolutely priceless & what made the 80s such a unique era...the music, the fashion, the hair, the dance moves & so much more.Everybody in this video take a bow & yes the white guy does remind me of the pizza delivery dude from Fast Times at Ridgemont High lol.
Everyone was together this was the peak of humanity and Gen xers are rare only 65 million were born and if yoy lived by NYC you never saw color you just danced 💃

Soul Train was VERY entertaining!!

Loved Soul Train. My fave was always the Soul Train dance lines. Used to date one of Asian ladies who was in the mid/late 80's on the show. Miss the show.

That white guy is in a lot of 80's Soul Train dance lines. He's actually one of the most talented dancers on the show. It was a shame here, because the camera only showed his arms whirling around, while he was actually doing incredible footwork, and that is what he was known for - remarkable and intricate footwork.
There's two white guys, tho. I think they were talking about the one in the end. I know the first one's name is Ricky Lemoli and he's even done some music videos

1989 was a good year for new songs not dragging any other era but 80's and 90's are the best time for music and videos clothing as well
