The diffuser needs to be a little more aggressive and I wished the grill matched a little closer to a refined GT500. It’s never too late though

No matter how the new S650 changes. It's still a Mustang. As Dodge ends the Challenger and GM will likely turn the Camaro into a. Sedan. Ford keeps the Mustang galloping forward while still using a V8 engine for at least a few more years before likely become an EV. I've watched the Mustang's introduction in April 1964 with it becoming a dominating race car with Carroll Shelby's help. Then it became a muscle car in the late 60s through the early 70s. While GM and Chrysler ended their Muscle cars when the US was hit with gas shortages. In 1973 Ford created the Mustang II which kept the Mustang alive while still offering a detuned low horsepower V8 during the supposed gas shortage. Then came the 1979 Fox body and the new 5.0 GT. In 1994 came the SN95. In 2005 the S197 was introduced with the S550 starting in 2015. In 1988 the Probe was scheduled to become the new Mustang. Thankfully, that didn't happen. I'm happy the 2024 S650 Mustang will continue the heritage of this Special Sports car. Thanks Ford for giving us this Special car and thanks Stangmode for being a true fan of the Mustang and the Ford family. Looking forward to your coverage tonight.

Same exact with me. In 2015 I was disgusted with the s550 (actually like 2018 better) but it grew on me over time. This one however, I'm immediately in love with!

I'm not sure how much I like it 🤔 However, it took me awhile to love the s550 too 😂 I am a 2013-2014 fan boy for life, but super thankful to Ford for keeping a gas powered V8 for at least another Gen 🍻

Thanks so much for all this, StangMode. What an honor it must be for you to be there! I'm not crazy about the tail lights, but I love everything else I've seen regarding the new Mustang, including the interior. Both the 5.0 and turbo 4 engines look awesome. I can't wait to hear what the horsepower figures will be. And I look forward to you taking a GT out for a drive. Actually...I look forward to me driving a new 5.0! 😃

I like what they are bringing. But they fucked the front end n that new computer screen interior looks like an add in. One job is to get the look right n it's just not right.
I'm a chevy guy but much respect to that new coyote engine! Chevy gave us the dual throttle body but on the c8 zo6. Which your normal guy can't afford smh Love they have it in the gt!!👏👏💪 And that interior is beautiful!!!!

Nope, not a fan. The front end looks weird, from the side there's not enough indention so it looks too thick, the rear looks weird with that overly large black plasticy looking diffuser. I do like the concave tail lights though. The interior looks to be modeled after the ATROCIOUS fox body interior. I do like the screens and what they display, but it doesn't have that classic and proper "mustang look" to the dash. The engine seems interesting.
I will definitely not be buying an S650. Maybe the Shelby variants can fix most of this for me but the interior will still be the same so....meh.
I think if I ever buy another Mustang to go along with my S197, it'll be either a 60s classic or an S550 GT350/GT500 or Mach 1.

The S550 Mach 1 was/is the perfection for me, I knew they won't keep up with the S650 but still I'm curious to test it one day.
500 HP kinda looks like a Camaro from pics but need to actually see the reveal the New digital dash is huge I like it so all in all I think as I see it more it will grow on me and once they drop I’ll grab one
Well i mean Mustangs came out first before any muscle/sports car so technically you could say that cars through American history “look like” or are inspired by a mustang. I see what you mean honestly but i think all the damn coupe cars look alike in some way especially from the quarter panel back

Man! That interior is the bomb!!! Best ever there for sure!!! But I love what they have did to the outside just right not to much and also the engine upgrades are awesome!!!! I got a young daughter baby girl turning 16 years old Jan 12th she is begging please 5.0 in race red coupe!!! Black wheels!!! But mom and dad would have sale kidneys! This economy is killing us right am already working 2 jobs 6 days a week 10hrs a day.Our family is Ford all the way we have hauled moonshine in fords my pawpaw! In Winston county Alabama he also severed a year and a day for that. But my dads brothers raced fords and I did after high school. This mustang has me pumped and am 46years old!!!
Congratulations on your invite to be a big part of the S650 introduction. looking at the coupes roofline. It appears to comes back farther on the rear deck lid. Overall inside and out. A beautiful Mustang.
Man I don't know. I mean I kind of like it but that interior is a lil too busy. The Dark Horse looks awesome though. I have alot of thinking to do....order the 2023 or just wait for this. Hmmmmmm?

This car looks awesome. The Las gen was beautiful now THIS. It is great! I love the Ford Mustang and always will. When I first ever saw the Mustang in real life it was love at first sight. The end charger and challenger is near and the camaro is either gonna be an ev, a sedan, or maybe end production of it. Who knows maybe they'll make a new one. But this car is a true American icon. Think about it..most of the cars you know and love today like the camaro probably wouldn't even exist if it weren't for the pony car. The Mustang will always be an awesome car and if evs do takeover we will never forget that V8 monster.
The concave taillight’s exactly like the classic 67-68 mustang’s

If you don't get the Darkhorse don't buy one. That's the one to get.

Low 60s for the gt and mid 80s for the “dark horse” id rather look for a Mach 1 prem when these come out

Congrats on being on stage. Overall, I don't know how I feel. The front doesn't bother me too much. The side profile is 👌. The back, I think is a miss. The current back is perfect.
Overall, just a few positive reviews. Then people will love it. I remember when the 2018 GT came out. People were complaining about the front. Then it grew on them.

I'm still unsure how I feel about the front of the S650, but I love the look of the interior, and I love the color combo of the paint and the interior on the convertible he was sitting in for this video! Red has always been my favorite color, and more so darker reds than bright red, so seeing the dark red paint with the even darker red interior inserts is perfection for me, chef's kiss!
What I see so far I like! Glad to see the interior moving upscale, love the big screens, hope it includes a HUD. Also love the 67 68 style tail lights. Duel throttle bodies! Drift brake! Hope GT350 GT500 are in the works. Let the stealer markups begin.
No GT350 for the S650 and the GT500 is going to remain on the S550 platform. Maybe the BOSS 302 could see a return.

I like it! Not sure about the center console...I realize there is a lot going on with the screens and they carry the options and they are sweet, but the center is sleepy like the Camaro Z28. Awesome reveal and review sir. Thank you!
I think the tailights are a little weird, but over all it looks great
I think the same, hopefully they’ll have some good aftermarket taillights.
They are much more interesting, slightly 'pinched' from the S550, more angular in the vertical. I like them better. The whole tail needed a little sharpening and it got it.

I think the car looks great! To me it has a more muscular look to it. I just think that's too much screen in the cabin, other than that awesome.
Personally I feel like it looks like a camaros cousin. Not quite what I expected. But that interior is fire 🔥

I like it. I'm not an interior guy either. I like the improvements the engine, a good set up 4 a power adder like supercharge or turbo. Like the body style adjustments as well. Wanted 2 see a bigger motor like a 5.2L or bigger in the mustang.

2) admittedly, I’m a little torn on the front end, but a) I bet it’ll grow on me and b) I love how the GT grille echos is the Mach 1 and I’m allllllll over the Dark Horse.
I think it's the tri bar lighting. They shoulda kept the single projector with the traditional gills in headlights. Amazing tech tho

First thoughts wasn’t fan of the front. The rear end is even worse. Screen on dash is nice though. I would take a gt350 all day over this body style.

So they changed the front fascia not much change, horrible headlights, a different rear end, and retuned it. Not liking that interior either. Love my s550 so much better. Hopefully they make some big changes with s750.... I may be swayed by the future s750
GT350 is still King...
Beautiful car, and they've engineered it exactly as us car enthusiasts would want it to be. My only complaint, is that I wish the front grille was a little bit smaller.
Let me get this one negative out of the way: instrumentation looks like a giant smart phone. Other than that, Ford hit a home run, imo. Seems like they've learned from their past mistakes (eg, The SVO and the Probe) and are actually in tune with what their customers want (specifically letting the 5.0 live on). Take note, Dodge.

Ford did extremely well and they’re actually pretty smart cuz the Camaro and the charger/challenger are going to die so the market will be completely dominated by ford cuz it’s the only offer. Otherwise dodge is doing pretty well sending off the charger and challenger while gm is just gunna silently kill the Camaro.

I understand the culture but the others have a challenge; to bring the same culture under a different platform. I don't think that debate is settled yet.
Car enthusiast are pretty objective. If it can perform and exceed their expectations, that's what they buy.
Truth is, we don't know what the market will do. We saw that with Porsche; creating the same enthusiasm for the brand under different product offerings saved their company.
Camaro isn't doing well right now despite it's setup. Challenger is fine but the new approach was received very well.
Beautiful Machine love it unfortunately can't get my hands on one now but in two years I will be getting one GOD willing.
The new S650 looks good from the sides, not so much from the back and less so from the front. Saleen, Roush, and RTR will come up with better versions.

More than likely the 5.0 retains the same firing order. Would be nice if they changed it back to what the 4.6 used to be (including Terminator), but I'm sure there's a vibration, crank weight, revving quickness reason why they went with the Coyote firing order.
Love the changes to the body and engine. Not overly crazy over the flat smart phone dashboard design. I like what we have now in dashboard instrument design. Thanks brother for the tour.
This dual Throttle body has been in the works for a while. They fiddled with it in the FR500 setup that never was released to the street. And there has been individuals who’ve done their own setup already on the street but very very few because of the complexity to tune it correctly. I’ve got the 2KR heads and lower I’ve been looking to do a twin setup for a while but at this points it’s almost more a nostalgia piece due to the efficiency level of the coyotes. Man dual TBody coyote 5.0 direct injection ummmmm guys a TT setup on the new car will be epic even more so then it already is on the current cars. Lol some GM engineers just left a note on their desk just prior to kicking away the stool.

Exterior, interior, dual TBs, dual intake = meh. New cooling system = interesting. Overall I’m happy because we still have a 5.0 & manual trans. Still prefer the s550.

I think it’s the color scheme on the red one that is throwing off the front end design. Because the color Raiti’s Rides reviewed makes the front end look much better. The front end of the grey one looks better too

This might sound like a petty thing to complain about but I HATE that the controls for the ac are digital. Those things should be left as a physical dial or button.

@1point Stangmode spoke of not offending Shelby owners; its been a few years now since the Shelby 350 was last produced, Ford shouldn't let that hold them back on making the Mustang as competitive as possible. Not to mention that when the next "350" is released it then will use the s650 to springboard to the next level. Keep pushing the limit Ford.... 🙏💯🙏
Freaking awesome that Ford allowed you to get this sneak peak to start working on content prior to the release to answer the questions that you know would be coming from the top guys who can answer them directly and have to worry about being left up to figuring it out on your own. This does show that Ford knows who the buyers are and gives that connection that makes us feel like they care about our experience. Can't wait to see what car the channel gets to build and test in the real world.

It looks like a camaro esk especially with the hood scoop and the rear fenders. Looks like gm and ford finally merged. Even looks like the cluster in a Silverado set up and the Escalade

When the s550 mustang first came out, I made fun of it because it looked like a Honda Accord coupe. It grew on me way later as I saw it more in person. On the other hand, this one looks boss from the get-go 👌
Maybe the GT does, but the Ecoboost looks like a Genesis made a really boring coupe

@@3644Darrell It's in the technical specs that Ford released. The EcoBoost and GT will use the Getreg MT82 manual with the same gearing where 4th gear is 1:1 ratio while the Dark Horse (Mach 1 replacement) will get the Tremec. The same 10R80 is being used for the automatic option, so unfortunately no DCT.

@@JCTiggs1 there are a lot of articles that says it's not getting one. Maybe they were going to, but decided against it. It pretty much proves that Ford is going to discontinue manuals, especially since they will probably go to hybrid engines at some point. I'll bet that's what they are planning with the ecoboost so they can still offer a V8 in the GT model. Just a guess on my part though.
I’m super impressed with so much of this new platform, but really excited about all of the customization opportunities to really make your car unique - all right from the factory. That is fantastic!
