Thank you, what a beautiful comment to read..I really appreciate you listening to me and understanding my perspective. I hope the rest of your day is great!😊
This is why you are my favorite reactor you just have a balance of everything a reactions needs Emotions Seriousness Understanding of the content & characters You never come off as harsh or too judgmental when a character is the "villian " And gaahhdam are you funny Because 30:12 is so true but only YOU only taco would say it that way "OOOHH HE PUNCHED THIS 🥷🏾FACE OFF" is accurate but man is that gold
Lestat saw himself when he was human in Louis, which is why he feels so strongly about helping Louis. Becoming a vampire was the best thing that ever happened to Lestat. Not at first, but upon reflection, he was grateful, so he wants to liberate Louis from the shackles of humanity. He does love Louis, in his own strange way.
Honestly, this show is so well done, I still can't decide which season is my favorite so far. One day it's S1, the next one is S2. One of those rare cases where so far, everything they've presented is just pure quality. I also loved your reaction and how you don't hate Lestat from the go hahahaha (no, but I actually really loved how you took your time to try to understand not only Lestat but also Louis and see things from both perspectives. It was so cool). Enjoyed this a lot, patiently waiting for the next one.
I love your reactions to this show broh. When Lestat tells Louis, all those things that you are ashamed of, are beautiful, and when I give you my DARK GIFT. You can be all those things, without apology. Who could resist that?
The way I’m obsessed with the plot, characters, setting, and complexity of the show is unexplainable. I’m so hype for you to continue it, since the show is continuously insane 😭😭
You are one of the few reactors, I have seen that noticed what type of character Lestat is. A lot of people try putting him in a box(evil or good, mainly evil😅) Don’t get me wrong he does a lot of bad things. But he is not evil or bad. He does try to change in the books but he lets his demons win😩He easily gets infatuated by people or things but then he becomes obsessed. He also falls in love easily. 😂 I think it’s because these characters look humans that makes it hard for viewers(some none book readers. Not to apply human logic to them.
I'm here from frankfreezy and I love both of yalls commentary and insights. Can't wait to watch your reactions to the rest of this series. I think the thing I enjoy most about iwav is that non of the characters are one note. There's not a clear line between hero/villian or abused/abuser and it feels closer to real life. With every episode my thoughts and feelings on each character was like a rollercoaster. On top of all that the acting is a feast to watch. I still get chills from louis' monologue to the priest. And it somehow elevates in season 2.
Best show on television right now and it does NOT get the flowers they deserve. They are owed the whole shop at this point. The writing and acting?? IMPECCABLE.

love your reaction!!! It's so exciting getting people into the show. I'm always like FrankFreezy when I get someone to watch it, evil laughing, mwahahaha 😂
I love this series, Taco! 🧛♀ There are significant difference in the novel, but the spirit is accurate and the particular performances are remarkable. The second season is even better than the first. 🔸 Cheers to Frank.
The thing is, the majority of the changes from the books aren't just altered willy-nilly ... they're largely changes that specifically facilitate the move from the late 1700s to the early 1900s(in the historical flashbacks), and from the 1970s to the 2020s(in the modern timeline), and also that enable the shift from Louis as a White plantation-owner(in the books) to Black pimp / descendant of a plantation-owner(in the tv series). So, even when certain things manifest differently than in the book, they still manifest in the tv series in a way that is somehow equivalent or parallel to things as how they originally were in the books. And that's what works so well about it, I think. ^-^
@@jaginaiaelectrizs6341 Yes, that's why I stated that despite the changes, the spirit was accurate. 🔸 I'm just so glad we get to see more of the interactions that movies don't have the time to show. I'm so loving it!!!
Always happy to see a new fan! I loved your analysis and insight on the characters, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos. This show is tied with Hannibal for my top of all time and I always love seeing new fan content!
I completely understand your point about not applying human morality to non-human characters and I think it's more fun to enjoy these characters in all their toxicity. HOWEVER, to be devil's advocate I offer this perspective - these immoral characters all USED to be human and despite now being inhuman, all their motivations are rooted in human emotions and needs. And human beings do the exact same things they do when given the opportunity. I think vampires just feel everything multiplied by 10 and I can understand how that shouldn't make them beyond human morals.
Anne rice also wrote a book series about witches it's set in the same universe as interview with the vampire the show is called the mayfair witches season 2 airs next year
She also wrote a standalone book about free Black / Mixed-race characters living in [pre- American Civil War ]New Orleans, called "The Feast of All Saints". Among several other things.
Really enjoyed your reaction to this wonderful show! It's always great to see all the quality and hard work of the cast and crew being appreciated! Enjoyed the discussion at the end, and seeing the moments that took you by surprise! Hope you enjoy the rest of it!
There's nothing better than finding someone who watches the show with the understanding that we cannot judge these characters based on human ethics. It is, after all, a gothic romance so it's important to know whether you're ready for this genre or not. Thanks a lot! I'll definitely keep up with your reactions.

FrankFreezy sent me here and I am so glad to be a new subscriber. A few of your insights were so on point I was wondering if you had watched it before, but I know you haven't. When you said you're a mental health support professional cleared everything up. 😊 I hope you keep watching the series because it is spectacular and Season 2 is absolutely fantastic. Everyone involved in the show has such respect for the spirit of Anne Rice's words. Every time you feel blown away by the prose, that is the power of Anne Rice's writing. ❤
Lestat is going to frustrate you like no other if you try to ascribe human morality to him. So I love the fact that you talked about how you can't always do that with these characters. And trust me, it's a lot more interesting to view them as human-adjacent; beings that still have glimpses of humanity but are very much removed from it as well. It allows a much more nuanced understanding of them when you don't immediately write them off as "good" or "bad" or "evil", because a vampire's morality is very different.
I started watching frank freezys reactions which is how I found yours - your opposing opinions on lestat are going to be so fun to watch! he’s definitely problematic, the season definitely sets him up to be the villain, but he is a complicated and layered character
Oh you're made for this kind of Gothic story. I hope no one will spoil you because I think you'll really like how each character evolve. Just keep in mind what you said about the self narrator
I Love you for this. I don’t usually watch reaction videos, but I thoroughly enjoyed this!! I loved all your thoughts. Also, as someone who knew about the book and the overall story before watching the show, it was interesting to see someone who didn’t have that information watch it.

Likewise, you understand where Louis is coming from completely, in the things he wants but feels he cannot let himself have and why. Very cool.
Thank you, what a beautiful comment to read..I really appreciate you listening to me and understanding my perspective. I hope the rest of your day is great!😊
@@foxtaco Totally! This series is an amazing study on philosophy and stuff. I hope you have a great day too!!
Frankfreezy sent me i just finished his ep3 reaction and am here to stay so please put all episodes on UA-cam to❤
S/O franks🙏🏿😊 thanks..im actually gonna watch that episode today as well
@@foxtacoYou're in for a bumpy ride,i can't wait for the next episode 😂.
It was good too
what is great about Louis's southern accent is the actor is actually from the UK ..amazing huh?
Yea he bodied that..reminded me of home 🤠👢
frankfreezy sent me, awesome reaction, subbed ❤
That's my guy 🙏🏿 thanks for checking me out
"Who's writing this shit?!" Anne Rice 😂 I adore your reactions
This is why you are my favorite reactor you just have a balance of everything a reactions needs
Emotions
Seriousness
Understanding of the content & characters
You never come off as harsh or too judgmental when a character is the "villian "
And gaahhdam are you funny
Because 30:12 is so true but only YOU only taco would say it that way
"OOOHH HE PUNCHED THIS 🥷🏾FACE OFF" is accurate but man is that gold
🤣🤣 thanks 🙏🏿
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO🧛🏾🧛🏾🦇🦇🔥🔥
🦊🌮MY GUY!!!!!
omg your takes on lestat and favoring morally grey characters, i feel so seen😭 lol now let me go watch the rest of this commentary!
Season 2 let's get there 🙏🏿🦇
Seriously, one of the best television pilots ever.
Best show on television right now and it does NOT get the flowers they deserve. They are owed the whole shop at this point. The writing and acting?? IMPECCABLE.
incredible reaction!! few people I’ve seen are able to go in with such an open mind and see the characters as flawed and beautiful as they all are. its such an incredible show and i can’t wait to see your journey through the rest of the episodes.
Thank you, I appreciate you joining me
I love this show. AMC put some money behind this show. The writing, the sets, the wardrobe and the cinematography are all outstanding. The acting is amazing. I really liked your reaction.
sent over by Frank - omg loved the reaction and insight!! lolll at the jumpscares. such amazing actors in this episode and the writing is so good
Oh it was great to see your enthusiasm with all aspects of this show, and loved the conversation at the end! I'm glad to have found a reactor who gets lestat already hahaha can't wait for the next eps ❤
Ill try and have it ready for youtube soon 🙏🏿
i really loved your reaction, especially bc its nice to see an another black person connect so much with louis as i did when watching too, yt reactors tend to lose a bit of the nuances that circle louis in his decisions early-season
this is one of my favorite shows ever, all the changes they made in the show feel so well thought out and written. i love watching people experience this show for the first time and realizing how crazy good it is! can't wait to see more videos from you
the way I told my friend as soon as I watched this pilot u gotta watch, got her too, have a call like this every week, & now 2 years later are recommending ya'lls videos to each other 😂 🧡
Wow🤣🤣🤣that's awesome full circle moment..and watching us do the same on youtube that's..words can't even describe that..glad you guys get share that..and for what it's worth me and frank do as well now 🙏🏿 thanks for watching Victoria
Frank Freezy brought me here 😂 I love this show & I'm enjoying your reaction.
Your reaction is very attentive & captivating!
Appreciate that🙏🏿
I LOVE how you appreciate the *complexity* !! Fantastic reaction, can’t wait for you to see more!
Dude, you are brilliant, you are amazing catching these things on first viewing.
Thanks for giving me a shot and listening to my thoughts🙏🏿
Yes! I enjoyed you bringing literary context to the mix. I read the books & when the show was announced the only aspect I desired to see or stay the same from book to screen was Louis' family, & more specifically Paul. So I was hooked from the beginning. ❤
Psych nurse here; glad to have found your channel. I like watching reactors who haven't read the novels, because I get to vicariously live that beginning again, I guess? 😂
In any case, I'll continue watching & check out some of your other reactions.
Psych nurse!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for everything you do. That does not get credited. The ability to take on other people's issues and help guide them through it can't be appreciated enough.
Yes enjoy the whole show through my eyes🙏🏿
We need to get this guy to 10k, been watching since his LOTR vids, so insightful, absolutely brilliant!!!!!
🙏🏿🦊
I came to check out your reaction after Frank recommended you and you're so insightful! You're picking up on so much that it takes other reactors a while to realize. I'm subscribed and looking forward to seeing you go on this journey
Thank you 🙏🏿♥️
Louis didn't even flinch with those two shots. 😂
love your reaction!!! It's so exciting getting people into the show. I'm always like FrankFreezy when I get someone to watch it, evil laughing, mwahahaha 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love this series, Taco! 🧛♀ There are significant difference in the novel, but the spirit is accurate and the particular performances are remarkable. The second season is even better than the first. 🔸 Cheers to Frank.
Cheers to frank 🍻
@@foxtaco 😊
Loved the reaction man! Especially the makima comparison. I hope you enjoy :D
Ayy an anime fan...thank you for listening 🙏🏿..it's been great so far episode 2 was just as good..recording 3 now
Always happy to see a new fan!
Im really glad more people are reacting to this show! Really hope the rest of the season and season 2 make it to UA-cam 😊
Really enjoyed your reaction to this wonderful show! It's always great to see all the quality and hard work of the cast and crew being appreciated! Enjoyed the discussion at the end, and seeing the moments that took you by surprise! Hope you enjoy the rest of it!
Thank you for listening 🙏🏿
There's nothing better than finding someone who watches the show with the understanding that we cannot judge these characters based on human ethics. It is, after all, a gothic romance so it's important to know whether you're ready for this genre or not. Thanks a lot! I'll definitely keep up with your reactions.
Frank Freezy sent me and I'm thrilled to be here! Love from the UK :)
🙏🏿😁 thank you for being here Franks the man right?!
This was amazing. I came over here from Frank's referral (love his reactions too) and was not disappointed. Different perspectives but both on point. You should include debrief calls after every episode lol. Anyway, enjoy and see you at the next one.
🙏🏿😁that's a busy man but definitely will try
So glad I found freezys' reaction and that he sent me here. Can't wait to see both of your reactions to the rest of the show! You're very insightful and noticed so many details, I love it!
Thank you for taking franks recommendation 🙏🏿
I found this video because of FrankFreezy rec and the phone call discussion was amazing!!!!
Loving the reactions, Lestat is undeniably one of my favorites but boy is he evilllll. 🤣🤣🤣
Hope you don't mind if I steal that..human adjacent line, thats spot on
@@foxtaco ya go for it!
I just found your reactions and finished the first episode. I am enjoying it so much! I look forward to continuing. Liked and subscribed!
Enjoy 🙏🏿☺️
Your reading of the church scene? Yes!
I Love you for this. I don’t usually watch reaction videos, but I thoroughly enjoyed this!! I loved all your thoughts. Also, as someone who knew about the book and the overall story before watching the show, it was interesting to see someone who didn’t have that information watch it.
Please please keep up the reactions, I LOVE seeing povs from those that understand character build and give GRACE to those deemed "evil" omg omg I loved this‼️tv hasn't given us greatest in SO long so reactions and discussions are FEEDING me😂🤗💯 I've tried to look at so many shows after S2 finale and CANNOT 😢😂 I end up just rewatching this show lol so many new things to catch every tiiime❤ I'm so in AWE of this series it feeds everything theatrical in me that I CRAVE💯✨️🫶

I love how you pay attention to the smallest things lol, I definitely didnt on my first watch
Thank you so much🙏🏿♥️
I'm so glad you understand! When I watch shows like this, I'm capable of temporarily calibrating my morality to fit the characters. Obviously I don't condone their actions in real human life, but for the sake of story I can pretend.
