The Argentine forces were spared a 'royal shit-kicking and slaughter' by the much-superior British forces in 1982 Falklands Campaign...by surrendering....which saved countless lives of poorly-trained troops...in this world,you got to watch out for who you want to mess with.

Not right.! The Malvinas are part of Argentina’s territory aswel as near islands. All of them attached to the continental land by the submarine platform. The name Malvinas comes from French ships navigating that first spotted the islands! French maps catalogued them as “The Mallouines”. Argentina had a governor on the islands (Governor Vernet)when Argentina got its independence in 1816, but the British “empire” took hold of him removed him and occupied the islands in 1833. The same way as they occupied and took to themselves other islands and rocks, like The Rock of Gibraltar.

Might be something to do with the UK government not allowing residential status for them and so there wouldn't be many, if any, here to march - at least of the Falklands vets. I think it's despicable that it took an actress to raise the issue (thank you Joanna) to shame the politicians into allowing the Gurkhas to stay if they wanted to. OK to fight and die for us but not to live among us.
@@vinbar35 there are lots of Falklands Gurkha veteran's in Oxfordshire I know 9 Veteran's from Oxfordshire who served in 2nd April 1982 Falklands war . Including my dad
My brother was one of them, he was only 19 when he went to war. My brother came home, some of his Para brothers didn't 😢. I am so proud of him and all the other Veterans for their service.
As one who served, I hate that puerile Yank term veteran. We are ex servicemen. My Grandftaher fought in Galipoli, my dad in WW2 as my morther did and, they would vomit at Tony Blairs "veterans" while he was robbing their pensions

It is wonderful to see proud veterans receive so much applause from the crowd.
Thats why I think that taking it to people is great rather than a parade ground. Brits do it well.
