Wow! She is able to articulate her design descriptions in English really well. The C pillar design I believe helps to make that typical "minivan look" more like an SUV by taking your eyes away from that sliding door slot. I completely agree with you on the sliding door not opening wide enough.
At the end of the day, Kia and Hyundai are beating the market and taking a huge piece out of the market. They moved faster than Toyota and Honda when then entered the US market. Say what you want, they have been killing it.

SO many reviews are given by men who skip over the stuff that is most important to women...for example, scans past the cargo area with seats folded down but spends 5 minutes looking at tail lights. I love the new grille. The headlights are different. The only thing I dislike is the aluminum clad on the C pillar. The digital cluster/infotainment is next level. Kia is killing the game!

This Sedona looks quite like a SUV, the Sorento could have benefited from a couple more inches to comfortably make it a 7 passenger vehicle. I love the two things she hates. The grill looks very luxury and makes the minivan very stylish and bold. C-pillar also is great, it was designed to look like a suv and silver/chrome finish makes it stand out.

if you like this when you have NO kids.....you'll LOVE it once you do. We've had at least one minivan since we started having children...21 years ago. On my 3rd Honda Odyssey and even though the soccer trips, etc are behind us...just still love having the option to move large items, take a family road trip, etc with my minivan. Just super practical. This one looks incredible. Honda/Toyota better step up their minivan game.
gratefulRed69 Honestly I’d rather have a minivan than a pickup right now. A minivan can haul more than any pickup inside it, and tow a small boat/jet skis just as well. Plus you get 7 seats, comfort features and essentially an 8 ft bed.
We have the 2016 Kia Sedona SX and love it. We are in the market for a second one and will be purchasing this 2021-22 Sedona SX, once it comes to the USA. The Sedona is the most reliable minivan on the market and that speaks volumes. Can't wait to purchase this when its available.
That's for Korean market. that 4th row is useless but you can use bus only lane (similar to HOV)on the highway if you have 9 or more seater vehucle with 6 or more occupants.
It is because of Korean traffic law as C71 said. So, KIA will not sell 4 low configuration Sedona to other country. Koreans know the 4th low seat is too small but buying it to use bus lane. And one more, 9 seats and 11 seats Sedona get commercial tax which is cheaper than 7 seats Sedona(normal vehicle tax)

Fully agree with the sliding door, it should open wider especially if you're loading car seats, and the C pillar is too thick. Still, the best looking minivan out there and that's not an opinion.

Guess I should say something about the new Sedona, got distracted, it doesn't look like a minivan and I think it's f'ing sick! My girl has a '14 Sportage and loves it! Kia is killing it!! Can hardly wait for the K5 GT, may be my Mustang replacement!
Overall this Kia is good.. But I also don't like the high gloss interior trim.. Darker colored trim that is not shiny or glossy would have been much better. And also I don't like the twist knob shifter.. I prefer a "handle" traditional shifter.

I've been leasing 3 Honda Odysseys for the last 12 years, I will switch over to Sedona when my current lease expires
