The Ark Survival Ascended may have its problems, but one can not deny the fact that the graphics in the game look amazing! Great job reworking on these Dossiers Ned! I can't wait for the rest!
Even though wildcard delays and delays (snailgames is probably the main ,,villain" here) and even though this game is an unoptimized mess, I still love it :)
I remember when ASE first came out, almost nobody could run it unless you had a super computer. Wasn't till the 20 series from nvidia that actually made it possible. I think it was mostly due to poor optimization.
Honestly my favorite part about asa is the survivor notes, feels so much better not just closing every note without reading them, they get read to you, let’s you understand that their is actually a story especially if you havnt watched neddy
That's great to hear! Can I ask if you think that the fast-moving, more UA-cam-friendly pace of the video played well with the nature documentary aspect?
Amazing, the focal length work, transitions, voice over. You really show better than anyone how incredible this game can look. That manta ray killshot was perfect, must have been so hard to capture!
Thanks mate! The things you can do with aperture in ASA are crazy, we did lots of focus pulling for this video as well which was essentially impossible in ASE outside of cleverly switching between synced shots in post. The manta shot took a few tries to get right but we got the last one literally first try and that probably saved our mental health
The Helena Dossier never fail to amaze me. All the Dossier were amazing. I remember coming across them shortly after they put the voices in the game (Firs time I played) I was so obsessed with finding them. It felt more than just surviving and sent me on my quest to ascend (5 months into gaming). Seeing you recreate them and the other players as well is amazing. Keep it up Neddy!!
Holy cow the camera angles you got are insane other then that thumbnail I legit think this is the best ark video you made it these shots look like they are from a movie insane work man
@@NeddyTheNoodle holy shit you responded... the original one Helena just looked a bit odd it looks way better now man. im just like flabbergasted that you commented
I'm feeling like this is a discovery episode 😅 but really it was top-notch, meaning a teenager's game can also make for a good live life discovery episode, this was something unique 😅😅
Favorite one so far! (Maybe just because Baryonix and Spinos are some of my fave dinos and both get featured here :D) Excellent cinematography as always and those seamless transitions between creatures always keeps it so smooth. Great work.
You never disappoint, Neddy. Another wonderful video with awesome shots! And I loved how the Rex stared down the Spino after the people ran beneath it. LOL Well done!
Este video es una obra de arte, un documental de gran calidad, definitivamente talentoso NeddyTheNoodle. Imagina que wildcard hiciera este tipo de videos de las criaturas de ark, el juego sería aún más popular.
I’m excited for the next part, which I’m guessing takes place in the ocean. I’m also loving that your doing these based off of habitats rather than creatures sizes
I got caught out by a school of those piranhas once when I was a very new Ark player who carelessly swam across a river once. I use coleocanth for easy fish meat since very few of my bases are inland. Perhaps it’s because I learned the beach “ecosystem” first, or maybe it’s the open spaces, I tend to be coastal. I’m very fond of the Otter shoulder pet as it was one of my first tames and first shoulder pet. And the Spino was the first large predator I ever saw in Ark. Fortunately the combination of its rapid movement and having watched Jurassic Park 3 was enough to make me decide to avoid it and go settle on another beach.
@@flameybox Although in truth it reflects a greater kind of philosophy that I use in Ark and other games. There are exceptions of course such as Dodos or Coleocanth in the early game when my character is too weak to go after Dilos reliably or indeed larger creatures but once I get established the rule is simple. Unless I’m aiming to tame a particular species and individual or I need the resources from a Tribolite , the rule is “You don’t attack me and I won’t attack you.” Thus, the vast majority of herbivores in my single player game can go through entire play throughs without being attacked by a human. More than enough predators or protective creatures such as the Theri attack me to provide my meat and hide needs. Heck once I get far enough to obtain a good Megalodon or Basilo if I’m short of meat I can just go on a short swim between peninsulas in the south coast and by the time I’m done I have more than enough. As a side note, I wonder why the Devs made all ocean creatures so stupid. Even when I’m riding on an apex predator such as a Mosa or Plesi, I still get attacked by absolutely everything as much as I would on an Icthyosaur. Tiny angler fish going up against a Mosa or really dumb.
Yoo, glad you enjoyed it! I was a bit worried it would be covered by the note but I think it still shines through, right? And it matches the otter on the explorer note 😅
Oh my god, this looks like something between a movie and a documentary film, it's just amazing, narrated and executed. The work and quality is 10, it is indisputable, but just out of curiosity and especially that I understand ... I understand that the scenes are made in unreal engine 5 right? and effects like closing and opening the dossier for example would be with after effects is it possible? I am a student of animation and I like to know about these things, I hope it is not too much trouble to ask this question Your job is awesome, really, congratulations ! 😍😍😍😍

I didnt play ark in years can i still play at survival evolved or i have to buy ascended ,
@studiobaguette7781 You can still play it, but the servers were shut down, so you can only play single-player.
Wow, I mean seriously. This was amazing. The cinematography is unreal.
That Baryonyx looks terrified of the realistic graphic Helena on the thumbnail

HOLY SH*T THIS AWESOME! Ark has always been up there in my favorite games, but THIS? BY FAR my favorite series I’ve seen!

The section about otters made my day! I think this was one of the best ones yet!
You know, we couldn't force ourselves to show the death shot
I love how you made it into one continuous movie instead of per every explorer notes

Truly a masterpiece that showcases the dinos and prehistoric creatures of the rivers and lakes. Spines have never looked so good 🥰
These have became way better with each installation. By far the best one yet!
Great as always neddy! Love the use of the animated series soundtrack too!

Wow Helena Attenborough !! Beautiful cinematography Neddy, brilliant vid 💜

Beaver is one of my favourite dinos, it swims really fast ,helps you build x10 times faster, and his saddle is a portable workbench, It's also cute :)
The otters closeups stole my heart

3:58 Who has the heart to kill an otter like that!?
Not me. Otters make a great early game shoulder pet especially in the colder regions. Plus they’re too cute for me to kill.
@mikoto7693 same, I would never kill an otter.
