Funny thing is, Darude_dpstorm should be a bot. FChamp ran into him in one of his video and especially in this vid here where the Ken just kept walking forward with no Drive Gauge makes is suspicious of botting, and rarely blocked and only doing so during certain situations.

It’s really nice to see these videos that utilize modern gameplay, I can’t play classic for the life of me (skill issue I know), so I mostly rely on modern as it’s much easier for me, and seeing these videos brings me joy to learn modern controls even more 😊

modern controls in a nutshell, never touched marisa in my life, i know nothing about her kit, neither her normals, still, i managed to beat a platinium+ ken player 3 times in a row before he rage quits
Yeah the modern to modern is much more even lol. Those instant supers ans specials are a game change lol
modern is pretty nerfed, most of these losses are due to bad decision not modern being OP. The 20% damage reduction and missing normals really handicap modern at a high level. JWong knows the game extremely well and has amazing reactions to punish those bad decisions. He would stomp these guys just as easily with classic, just watch his videos of him getting to masters with these same chars.
@_narcosis for the record the damage reduction is only relevant for supers. Damage reduction is optional for special moves. So the only thing thats really a nerf in modern is the lack of some normals and the fact that modern will spend drive meter for you.

@@cheef825 thats true i forgot about that part but i mostly just wanted to point out that the damage reduction that everyone seems to think is a huge downside isnt even a real problem because of being able to negate the reduction with classic input

JustinI have always wondered how it is to be like extremely good at fighting games specifically. I mean Of course you can play online with a lot of people in more or less your level. But my question is, like when a friend comes over to your house or wants to play for fun with someone that is clearly much worse than you, isn't it like frustrating?
Like in my mind there are three options.
1)you play like you normally would and you annihilate them. Which I imagine would be pretty frustrating for them.
2)you play at your worst possible, and you let them casually win, do not think that would be frustrating for you, but I don't think that it would be fun either.
And the third option that I think would be the best would be like play at your mid, and make the fight more close.
But I have never been so good at fighting games, so I don't know. I would like to hear your opinion.

If you lost to someone spamming a move it just means you were spamming mistakes. Modern is extremely predictable and does significantly less damage. Would rather fight a modern ken than classic any day.
