Not sure what I’m doing wrong but my beard hair loves the utility balm my skin does not underneath my beard for some reason and I love the way it smells and feels but I can’t get it right for some reason I need some feed back
It's 12.35 am in India, and was very tired, about to sleep too, but the notification comes from Eric, that's it, am up and will watch the full video, cause the content you give us is magical and most needed, how're you doing this man! Love you lots and always keep up the work😘
There are many effective methods for this, and this another great option!
This is such a great channel! Thanks Eric.
Great video Eric! I always like my product to be super smooth. A little grain is okay but if I can change it I will.
Worked exactly as demonstrated. Thanks Eric!
This was your best video in a while. Enjoyed every minute of it.
It was pretty fun to make. Ben did a good job with the edits. Was thinking of other topics to do like this, but all I could think was cleaning a dirty brush. -Eric
Thanks so much for this tutorial Eric!
The Audio was great Eric!👏👏👏
This video mean so much to me
Great tip! The way i did it when my balm had grains was putting it in the oven at around 120 degrees (Only do this if its in a tin container) and let it melt completly. Worked great.
Awesome tutorial and 100% facts!
Great review
Really great vid!!!
Great video. I actually picked up the trial size starter pack from target and just thought that’s how the utility balm was. It’s like sand. Did this tonight and now it’s like it should be. Thanks and keep up the great videos.
"White Line" from Target is almost always grainy. I wish I had known this sooner. Thanks for the tip!
Great! I just use a candle warmer when mine needs "Smoothed out" Thanks Eric and BB
Really glad you made this. Always thought it was probably possible but didn't want to risk ruining my fav balms (specifically the fragrance). I just did this with my latest jar of Four Vices and can confirm it was quick, easy, and now my balm is oh so buttery smooth. Thanks Eric!
Eric, I have a candle warmer and I place the jar on that, (love that it's a glass jar!)
I remove the lid and it liquifies, room smells great too! Stir a little, when it's ready, I leave it to "harden" and I am golden!
Can confirm that the candle warmer method worked flawlessly. Definitely easier than the method shown in the video if you have one sitting around.
Same here as well, also works great for mustaches wax that’s has gotten a little messy in the container.
This video is life-changing, and should be a must-read for anyone purchasing your beard balms. Every single time I receive a shipment, the utility balm arrives grainy and extremely difficult to emulsify. I’ve taken to putting a small amount in the metal lid and leaving it on the radiator for several minutes, but this method is so much better. The instructions were simple, and the results were perfect! Thanks, gentlemen, for making me fall in love with your utility balms all over again!
100% life changing. I was going to abandon the product before I tried this. Should be included with the packaging.
Using the oven at about 50-60°C takes a bit longer but it's more gentle to temperature sensitive ingredients such as Vitamin E.
Great tip.
Worked like a charm
Very neat
Is a little ghee with cinnamon a good utility balm?
A video's worth a thousand words. I got my first jar today so I didn't have any problem with the product melting on the way. The arctic blast that went through the country took care of that.
Big - BIG help. Thank you. I only have one hand so this will help me greatly. Thank you so much. Blessings~
I’ve found that for best results is to leave it in the freezer for about an hour or two you get a real soft creamy texture and i usually use a pot filled with water and put product in a pyrex at a medium heat until it melts then pour it back to container an put it in freezer
After this done I mean the balm has set to OG you can keep outside or should keep it inside the refrigerator
I would like for the triple pack utility balm to have the option to get three fragrances instead of just one. Online you see the triple pack being all old money or all temple smoke or all four vices. I would like to mix and match and have one of each. Thanks!
Man, I wish I had watched this video when it came out. Been annoyed at beady utility balm forever. Love my Beardbrand products, but just assumed that the balm was going to be a grainy irritation to deal with every morning. Can’t wait to have smooth utility balm for the first time!
Would love to use your product but it won’t deliver it to the uk
What about temperature sensitive ingredients?
Hi, I had to do this to tin of old money upon arrival. The result was what you have shown here but now it just smells like wax. Any ideas on what I can do? It's my first time buying all you products and loved the smell prior to this.
If this is the same effect as crystals forming in a solution it is the speed at which the the solution cools which dictates the size of the solids, a slower cooling will give bigger solids. so that translates as if you find your balm has melted cooling it in the fridge will stop the solids from forming (as large). its also worth noting that if you find especially big solids in your product it will likely have separated form the rest of the solution such as the fragrances and other lower boiling point ingredients, its not likely to happen with this product i'd guess though. In some industries its used as a method to purify compounds in a mixed solution.
You can also place it on a candle warmer
Thanks , great to know another method. 😁 I keep them in the sun heat for a day and then let it settle in room temperature
I just followed the steps in this video and while doing it, I got water in my utility balm will that mess up my balm or do I need to throw away my balm and order another one?
Where do I go to get one of those towels in the video lol 😆
Further more I have been using this product for year. Had to find this on my own. Looks like you been having this issue before I received my shipment. Why would you not inform me then?
My lumber jack smelled not so great so I melted it like in this video and added my own essential oils for a better different scent 😎 Tip: If you add peppermint EO keep it to a minimum 2-3 drops!
“...and lastly, drink the Shiner in your fridge to celebrate success.”
1. Completely melt by submerging the jar in boiled water
2. Let sit in fridge for a few hours
Saved you 11 minutes.
My man has a future in asmr
Hey Eric,
I just started using the beard oil and just received the utility balm.
I'm 68 and my white beard has a lot of independent hairs that don't cooperate when I brush my beard. My beard length is 1". Should I be using the utility balm or the styling balm?
Thank you,
Loren
Hey Loren! Styling balm will give you a stronger hold than utility balm. It'll help keep those uncooperative hairs in check.

I feel this was more of a video to try out some new tech. The mic.
I turned my podcasting gear into a high end audio setup. 🌝 -Eric
So it needs to completely liquefy ?
Yup.
That's a fancy ass kettle.
Signs of a coffee addiction. 🌝 -Eric
Shiner Bock in the fridge ...oh yeah!
I can't wait for those that watch Dr. Pimple Popper on UA-cam to come here and say "Why am I watching this at 3 a.m.?"
That was like watching paint dry.
Just use a scentsy warmer
Friendly hint: next time consider making this a 2 minute video.
#OddlySatisfying
A watched pot does boil.
Wish I watched 2 years ago.
Don't try the microwave technique. The label is metallic. Discovered that a day before this video was released.
Why should I do it, the money I pay, product should be right
Some people want the benefits of shea butter which can’t be replicated by other means. You end up with an amazing product, that in a few cases can develop grains due to temperature changes. -Eric
Am I the only person who kinda likes the grains lol
Quite possibly. 😂🤣 -Eric
You are not alone my friend.🙂
I just thought it was a shitty product that I spent way to much on won’t again

The lip smacking/tongue clicking put me off!
What a waste of 12 mins. You could have done this in two. The product sucks
Ok I've got to unsubscribe because you still have that mullet
