they actually hit the nail on making gameplay seem really robotic. Actions feel heavy and weighted, movement and attacking is very specific and requires careful positioning, and combat makes you do math lmao. It's a very _calculated_ gameplay loop! And the atmosphere feels like the beginning of a Ghibli movie, weirdly enough. Definitely checking this game out! I also thought of CrossCode watching this, and also Hyper Light Drifter. Just reminded of games that go for a certain vibe, and ace it.
I backed this game when it first hit Kickstarter all those many moons ago. It's exciting to see it get to this state, just like when Ghost Song finally finished

This is one of the real standouts of the Steam Next Fest wave of demos. I'd love to see it release some time this year. Mythy already gotten around to Afterimage and Oblivion Override, which are great, too. I'll also recommend Gestalt: Steam & Cinder, Nocturnal, Ninja or Die, and and Bleak Sword DX.
You should play Signalis at some point. Its a horror game in the style of the original resident evil games with a lot of inspiration from other horror entries like Dead space, Evil within, Silent hill etc
I for one like stories that aren’t well explained and you have to figure out and try to understand what is going on, hollow knight is a lot like that, and wile not completely a “who am I?” type game horizon zero dawn also has an incredible amount of mystery and discovery in its story, would love to see more myth :)
This has been on my wishlist for years and I've always been hyped, but there's no getting around how problematic some of the graphical choices are. That transparent, neon glitchy HUD is fucking awful. Really hope they change it.
