Wally Funk was a member of Mercury 13, a project designed to test whether women could pass the same rigorous tests that NASA put their male astronauts through (spoiler alert - they could). However Wally never got to fly at that time because women weren’t allowed to space. On July 20th 2021, Wally Funk flew to space as a member of Blue Origin’s first crewed lunch of the New Shepard rocket #WallyFunk #BlueOrigin #JeffBezos #Mercury13
