Cajun Triangle - Lesson One

- An instructional video for beginning cajun triangle players. I demonstrate how to hold the T'fer, how to handle the beater, how to get those "Clunk-a" and "Cling-a" sounds, and how to play along to Cajun waltzes and two-steps. I am a good triangle maker, though only a novice player myself. Please listen and play along to the fine traditional cajun players on UA-cam and on the many CDs available.
Please note, I am no longer making hayrake triangles. Thank you, all, Brad
Thanks for the instructions.
Some people think it's easy to play the triangle in the right way , but it isn't at all.
They often look with a smile on theeir face at the tit fer player.
But when you ask if they want to try it, they understand that it isn't easy at all.
We are blessed with a very steady player for the triangle,
man!! you DO make music with a triangle!!!
RESPECT!!
This is just absolutely wonderful.
It was the most usefull triangle-video on youtube. Thanks a lot!
Brad makes an awesome t'fer...they sound great. I have one in my bag o' percussion tricks and I play it at a lot of gigs and jam sessions.
hey brad, i got my triangle today and its wonderful! thanks for the great service
trip
Awesome!!! Thank you for uploading this video :)
Great triangle-playing, I wish I had one to practice myself! And I need a straw hat and white apron, too!
saw you on kutimans "my favorite color", nice job!
I enjoy the way you can really make a difference when playing along with other cajun instruments! I LOVE to bang the tee-fer !! Yaeeeee !
I am gonna guess that his mother used to call him to dinner with the triangle quite a few times a day. Kidding aside . I love the instrument. It is authentic Cajun music.
The triangle seems like a ridiculously simple instrument to play, if you ignore pitch modulation and all playing techniques. There are a lot of triangle parts in classical music that are deceptively difficult to play right.
Seriously awesome! If you make them, can I buy one?
dont forget your apron, those frequencies can provoke a bowel movement...
Wow! A lot harder than it seems! You do a great job, though!
Are you still making triangles? How much do they cost?
How the hell do people need tutorials to play a damn triangle!
I dont know why youtube recommended this to me but ok
