Yes its an Anime its Called Berzerk , the og one from 1997 is better imo but it only has one season but the golden age remake version had two seasons both are worth a watch its an amazing anime, fair warning tho its super graphic and brutal
Read Berserk, the 3 movie adaptations are alright, but a lot gets cut out or changed. The manga continues for so much longer past the movies and does NOT hold back on the themes. Extremely brutal and sad story, war, betrayal, religion justifying murder, incestuous kings and noble families, rape, PSTD, interesting concepts of God and pre-determined fate. It's an extremely dark story that while having it's dark moments lets you fall in love with characters and personalities and feel those calm moments a lot more, knowing that when there is calm it's rare and should be cherished. I'm not a big fan of reading books or manga, they don't hold my attention as much as an animated show or movie, but this is the rare occasion that I'd say the book is better than all other forms and has left me in tears multiple times. Perfection that may never be completed due to the unfortunate passing of Kentaro Miura.
The thing is, is when they released this music video, they cleaned up a lot of the song vs when I heard them sing it live back in May at Rockville. It sounds worse in the music video. Anime = Berserk

I'm so agrred with what you said about your vision about soft singing. You can do it but not in a Bieber way. Even a Seether, Nirvana way would be good. But you have to get some texture and/or depth in the voice to be in the same dramatic line
