Great conversion and video. Not good for colder climates where the gas condenses more. The generator heats it fine but the burn fluctuates in the cold and the propane pools. Checked the fittings and everything. The fuel pressure changes drastically in the cold flames not burning evenly on burners . Sometimes the second burner goes out. Have to stick with the white gas for colder weather
Perfect. Well worth finding that other stove. Now you can use the one you found, and convert all of your others as needed for ease of use. Can't beat the price. Thank you once again my friend. Love and blessings!
I just started using my Coleman for casting lead ingots for future use. Thanks for the information, since I foresee not using liquid fuel for long. Even just having a backup option would be worth it.
thank you for that link. the aluminum converter i have still hold a bottle nice and tight but, got a problem with the valve, and the spring broke. have no idea how long my dad had that. but until i can get replacement seals for the tank uses liquid fuel, that will be a big help if needed to still be able to use the old coleman stove.
I’m still running one with the old brass tank. Works great. This is a great idea for say a quick over nighter, but you can’t refill one of these when you run out while cooking dinner, and will end up with a few almost empty cylinders. I hate those disposable tanks. They can be refilled, but I wouldn’t want to know people are refilling them if they live near me.
I put together a stack of adapters that plug into this type of converter. There is a camping butane to propane converter and a food service butane to camping butane. I also added a remote hose for use with a bulk tank. It makes a regular dual fuel coleman something of an omnivore.
I never knew they had anything like this.... This is awesome...... I have an old Coleman camp stove and will definitely have to get one...... Thanks! Awesome vid.
I'm glad you, and guys like you, make this kind of content because I learn so much from it and I don't have the energy to do it myself. It looks hard, so, respect. Having said that, do you think it's fair to compare a product that you're using for the first time to a product that you have used for awhile. I don't understand why you think that the brass will hold up better than the aluminum. There are alloys of aluminum that come very close to the strength of steel and I don't think that's true for brass. The particular valves you used before may have suffered more from poor thread design than from the material that the threads were machined into. How old were the aluminum valves and how many ons and offs did it take to wear them out? I have some appliances that screw onto 16oz and 14 oz tanks that I've had for 25 years and they aren't stripped out. If you have been letting, what I call, "Goobers" (buddies, kids, less aware significant other) connect up your stuff, cross treading is pretty easy with any portable propane device. It takes a certain amount of patience and dexterity to depress the check ball in the tank and align the threads properly. Fail to do that and if you aren't experienced enough to stop when it "don't feel right", you'll strip a thread or two, even if it's brass, because it's softer than the steel neck on the tank. If you always line up the threads correctly, there is no "wear", so to speak.
I just grabbed one from Fleet Farm for $19, I also cashed in a reward so for around $15 to my door. Can’t wait to try it out.
Never knew about this conversion.....good stuff brother!!!!

Very good video. I’ve been a camp stove collector for about forty years now . If you need a part or have a question , let me know.
I never knew these existed, thank you! I’ve got an old sears 2 burner I’m going to try this on.

Great video! I had no idea these were even available. Just ordered one. 👍
Who'd you order it from?
Sportsman's Warehouse is out of stock on this item. And the Stansport as well.
The brass fitting is an upgrade for sure.
Nice big help.
this could work with my Coleman white gas stove that was given to me last year, good backup for the liquid fuel
Wow , I was going to buy a propane stove. I have a colman stove. I will buy this converter. Thanks.
Awesome. Now if anyone had propane, that would be great. Wally World was totally out of green propane bottles yesterday...
AWESOME!
I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THESE!!
