Every clinician knows their scope of practice. Every clinician can be trained about autism and how autism might impact their specific scope of practice, but the only clinician that can diagnose autism is a psychiatrist.

I agree with Armon. Autism has nothing to do with a need to always share however other behavioral disorders do. She needs to be assessed for Cluster B Personality Disorders.
I don't agree with Al on this one as that woman is 4ever using her "smarts" to pull a wool over our eyes about her bad behavior . She needs to stop gaslighting us. She doesn't seem to have any good friends to talk to and runs to the innanet with her issues every time. Gurl just stop!✋🏻😒
She reminds me of Kanye West in that everyone keeps calling her "Brilliant" but I feel like we are only assigning her that label because she has degrees (a lot of educated fools in the world) and she called HERSELF brilliant/genius. Like Kanye who called himself a genius then everyone got on the bandwagon. A "Brilliant" and educated person would have identified that she resonated with the characteristics of autism that she read about, made a PRELIMINARY self-diagnosis and promptly followed that up with an ACTUAL clinical/official diagnosis by a LICENSED professional before running around and telling people, in a matter-of-fact tone, that she IS autistic. She could have even said "I feel strongly that I am on the spectrum". That statement tells us she is self-diagnosing but not confirmed. We can get behind that. Most health conditions start with us "feeling like something is off". She blatantly tried to mislead people by saying she is autistic by using evasive language when Shannon asked her "Is it diagnosed", then gets mad that people picked up on the evasiveness. She is not too brilliant otherwise she could have avoided this whole thing by being fully honest. She needs to get a grip. I do think she is an INFORMED person on black studies and has a powerful voice when talking about those topics but brilliant, in general, I think not. And, her comfortability with "lying by omission" explains why she had no problem with Jussie Smollett and considered him lying "Low key noble." I get it now.
It’s crazy that Al is a professor at a university and he doesn’t know what a clinical diagnosis is. "Clinically diagnosed" refers to a diagnosis made by a qualified healthcare professional based on clinical observations, examination, and sometimes diagnostic tests. It means that a medical professional has evaluated a patient's symptoms and medical history and determined a specific diagnosis according to established medical criteria.
She put herself in these situations by always talking think it’s bull I have a adult son with Autism it nothing like this at all it’s just a excuse to stay a victim
She basically did what a lot of people do when they go on WebMD for that "mystery lump or phlegm filled cough". Hell I've diagnosed myself with cancer on more than one occasion. And just like them (and me), she could be totally wrong. She could have a personality disorder or something else all together. That's why you go to a trained certified clinician. If she really wanted to know for certain if she was autistic than she would pay the $10,000 and go through the testing process. Seems like a no brainer to me. With the correct diagnosis she can get the resources and support she needs to cope. But running around lying about being diagnosed with autism for attention and sympathy is not cool at all. She losses a lot of credibility doing stuff like that.
What are they talking about? There are only two types of diagnoses, clinical diagnosis which deals with reported symptoms and laboratory diagnosis which deals with physical examination. Any doctor can make a "clinical diagnosis" including a psychiatrist or a psychologist.

Al, what are you saying! If she was diagnosed by a professional clinician than it’s a clinical diagnosis. I’m confused Al with your interpretation of what a clinical diagnosis is!
Yes, you do need a clinical diagnosis by a doctor to be DIAGNOSED with autism. A questionnaire she did online doesn’t officially diagnose her with autism.
Clinical diagnoses of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can be made by a variety of qualified healthcare professionals, including: 1. Developmental Pediatricians: Pediatricians with specialized training in child development and behavior. 2. Child Psychiatrists: Psychiatrists who specialize in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders in children and adolescents. 3. Child Psychologists: Psychologists who specialize in assessing and treating children and adolescents with developmental and behavioral concerns. 4. Neurologists: Doctors who specialize in disorders of the brain and nervous system. 5. Clinical Psychologists: Psychologists who are trained in conducting psychological assessments and diagnosing mental health conditions. 6. Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs): Mental health professionals who may provide counseling and support services, and sometimes conduct assessments for developmental disorders.

Again she's blaming a diagnosis we can't check for all of her bad behavior. Plus he refuses to have a doctor check that same diagnosis. It's a cop out to never having to be held accountable for her own actions
She also said on her show, she looked back at her interview and she could see why ppl take issue with her and that she doesn’t want to change it
I agree with Armon. Autism has nothing to do with a need to always share however other behavioral disorders do. She needs to be assessed for Cluster B Personality Disorders.
Al is EXHAUSTING, SO IS AMANDA SEALES!!
This is not about blackness, this is just being rude
"blkness" is Amanda's perpetual shield against accountability.
Wow Al, how can someone be so passionate yet so wrong😮
Armon had me screaming.
Al is always biased when he likes someone.
Exactly! He is annoying
Totally agree with Armon. I’m signing off on the Amanda Seales conversation because it just makes me tired 😪
She self-diagnosed on google… I’m with Armon on this one
They can neverrrr make me hate you Armon. God bless you’re a gift to Fox Soul 😩
Lmfao no Al, if her therapist diagnosed her then it’s a CLINICAL DIAGNOSIS because HE/SHE has the qualifications to do so
Al already believes he’s an expert in everything
Al, you making too many excuses for Amanda. She needs to take a look at herself and stop blaming everyone else ‼️
Exactly.
Al knows everything…
Al is slow. If any licensed Physician, psychologist tells you that you have autism due to the symptoms, you are clinically diagnosed.
What are they talking about? There are only two types of diagnoses, clinical diagnosis which deals with reported symptoms and laboratory diagnosis which deals with physical examination. Any doctor can make a "clinical diagnosis" including a psychiatrist or a psychologist.
She said she's read about it and saw the that she also had the signs. And that's why she says that she has autism.
This segment should have been stopped once the three started arguing what Autism is and isn't.😶 Many times when Tea G-I-F has a segment about anything medical it turns into a who can sound dumber contest, a who can make a joke about.😐
Claudia and Al need to be replaced🤷🏾♀️
@@Truthteller978I would not go that far.😐 But one of them should be told the story before the show, do some research behind the segment.🔎 Al was the research person before Funky left.😶?
i cant with Amanda so im with Armon on this but i would say its crazyyyyyyy he feels this way about her but he gives Kanye all the grace and glory. Society has constantly used mental health as a blanket for Kanye. I am over these people with terrible attitudes and personalities trying to justify their ways.
If she was diagnosed by a Psychiatrist then that is a diagnosis WTF. You cannot diagnose yourself without confirming it by a professional who is qualified to make the diagnosis......Who even does that????
I'm 100,000 percent with Armon on this!!
Armon is spot on. I think after the therapist said she has it...the next thing I would think you go to a docter to confirm or further confirmation.
The moral of this story is black women can do no wrong.
6:42 🤣🤣🤣 I almost poked myself in the eye with my mascara
I am very disappointed in Al, you sound less than smart!! Please do your research on what a clinical diagnosis means before you add your 2 cents AND plain and simple :she lied and not taking accountability for her actions but want others to take accountability for their actions .MAKE IT MAKE IT SENSE
Amanda off the chain🤣🤣🤣🤣
People throw the word "brilliant" around far too much. She's brilliant because she went to a Colombia? Give me break. She's brilliant but not smart enough to know how to move in the entertainment industry. Yeah right. Just call it what it really is: she's arrogant.
I'm with Armon on this one. I like Amanda. But, I'm tired lol
Armon!! 😂🤣❤❤ I love Armon
Armon talk tht talk tht is how we feel!!!!
Thank you Armon!
Al, what are you saying! If she was diagnosed by a professional clinician than it’s a clinical diagnosis. I’m confused Al with your interpretation of what a clinical diagnosis is!
I’m w Armon on dis! 🤷🏽♀️
Like no accountability 🙄
Yes, you do need a clinical diagnosis by a doctor to be DIAGNOSED with autism.
A questionnaire she did online doesn’t officially diagnose her with autism.
Al, you gave us examples of people who can diagnose, and all of those are doctor's, I'm just trying to understand?
Al sound dumber and dumber. He says you don't have to have a clinical diagnosis and then lists off the ways people are diagnosed by clinicians.
Lmao 😂
Al gah stop drinking all that buttery chardonnay..Al seems a bit off these days 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@Simsdee lmao. That’s really it.
@@TheQGerard 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤷🏾🤷🏾
But having someone diagnose you is having a clinical diagnosis because those people are still doctors. Al didn’t make any sense on that one.
Does Al owe Amanda money, like…..
Right! Lol
Amanda Seales is Nuts!🥜
Bravo Armon !!!!! Yesssss
You can ONLY be diagnosed
clinically.
AL got to be insane. Amanda is very tiring
Oh my Goodness!!! ArmonWiggins for President because "WE ARE ALL TIRED!"
Clinical diagnoses of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can be made by a variety of qualified healthcare professionals, including:
This is kinda embarrassing. Please do your research on Autism and learn what a clinical diagnosis really is. I respect his effort.
This is serious she is making fun off this illness. But she is a lier and playing a victim. Making excuses. Al is defending her. Thank you Armon she is in titled. And playing the illness card as excuse for her bad behavior.
It was my therapist that diagnoses me with postpartum depression that was not clinical.
Now does that mean I didn’t have it?
Armon 😂😂😂😂 spot on who would want the world to know they have autism I'm with you Armon
