Hi bud, about 8+ years late to the ballgame here, but your vid popped up in my Recommended List. Went out this Sunday morning to the grocery story to buy some Ballparks and crescent rolls to make this tonight. Remembered these as a kid in the late 60s when my Mom had had enough of me and my brother. LOL Was a fun meal. Brought back good memories. Thanks so much :)
My mom made this when we were younger but she cut a slit in the hotdog and put cheese in it before wrapping! So good!

Pillsbury never fails to wow when from scratch isn't available. Now. Lemme see if I can find the crescent dough & hotdogs at a price I can afford these days. Thanks, so simple!

I make these for a Christmas eve/ New Years eve treat! I cut the hot dogs in half, and I always use red snappers, which are a New England variety of hot dog.
Lov those red snappers! I grew up eating those down East Maine with my family✌🏼❤️
i had searched this up due to faint memories of these from my youth. and had a desire to make them though i had no idea if there was more to it or not. will be getting the ingreedients later today

Bake Like a Pro, what store did you get the Crescent croissants from? I don't know if my city of Norfolk, Virginia has them in Walmart but I might find out if they have those croissants there.

How do you open the dough sheet? I failed every time.
If your dough is difficult to open, try chilling the container a little while. This will chill the dough and it won't stick as much when you open the tube. Is there a way to make the dough completely cover the hot-dog?
Hi there, yes there is, you can use a rolling pin to roll out the dough before you roll the hot dog into the pastry. This works

I used to make these all the time but it was one of those things I had to give up because it was too much of a good thing. I miss making and eating them. They are excellent for kids meals. Kids love them.

Hi Jay, that's just regular *mustard* the other condiment is relish. I don't know many that use relish, but - I had a friend do this about 30 years ago, I tried it, and went wow, ok this is good. Thanks so much for watching ! 😊
My mom used to make them plain, then later on down the line she added chili and cheese on top of them. She would put it back in the oven until the chili was heated up and the cheese was melted

I started eating these with a dab of relish on the side, somebody did that, and I wanted to try it, and yum, it was a good discovery. I think I will try sprinkling some seasoning on the dough before rolling the hot dog in it. Garlic & onion powder would probably be good.
