So happy I saw this video. It's very clear and shows it really is quite simple to install the throttle. I also want sure if you could change it to km and you confirmed that too! Top lads! Can you please share what the case is you have on the extender bar?
Is the bike still considered a street legal Pedelec if you’re connected to the EU display but the throttle is on the handlebar with it’s cable not plugged into the controller?
That's a great question. Our interpretation of the law is that as long as the EU display is plugged in and in use while riding in public spaces in Australia then your bike is restricted to the required specs and you are obiding by the ebike law.
So this means if i were to purchase a SUPER73 - SG1 in EU i would only “legally” have access to pedal assist, meaning i would have to pedal all the time and only being able to use 250W. If i were to go to some private property with no public access and i applied the US throttle i would be able to go use the just press the throttle and not having to pedal at all? Also it says on websites that the motors are 250watt only, don’t you need 500watt to utilize the throttle? Also nice video :)
Yes, when the throttle is applied, you can use it to accelerate and pedal assist is still available as well. The motors on the SG1 are 500W, restricted to 250W by default, so the throttle de-restricts the power to 500W. Thanks for your feedback!
Hi, when you ride the bike without pedal assist do you still have the have the battery and display unit on ? Or can you just hop on and ride without even having the battery connected ?
Yes you can ride without power, the rear wheel free spins so there is no friction without power. The bike is however 30kgs and designed to be ridden with power assist.
Depends on lots of things like rider weight, accessories on the bike, wind, terrain. But typically you'll get close to 50km with throttle only on an SG1.
@@benbucklerboards I'm in the UK and I think we have the same restriction on ebike I would like install a throttle to give my ZG an extra muscle. Any tips?
Not that we know about. You need to purchase the US Spec throttle. You can then unplug the EU display and plug in the US Spec throttle when on private property.
@@benbucklerboards Yes I got that. Thanks for your video✌🏻From what I know now I think you can even register a Super73 with the US-Throttle in Germany since you can do so with other bikes
I believe not, it's a different design to the SG1 or S1. The Australian and European version of the Z1 will be the ZG. G is for Global version. And the Global version will be pedal assist only.
We're offering the RX-E, which is the European model that comes with 10speed gears and Magura brakes. Plus we pay in AUD and we pay all the taxes. Hope that helps :)
Hello. Someone know if this throttle works on ZG ? I have an EU model, so need pedal assist. and I want to remove pedal assist, so someone know how to do, or if this throttle this works ? Have a good day

Glad it helped ! It is a generic hard case, same type as the Pelican cases.

Hi I have a populo sport v3 electric bike. Is it compatible with it ? I'm looking for throttle where I don't have to use my pedals.
Hello, it would be unlikely. The Super73 accessories are designed to work on the Super73 bikes. Thanks for watching!
can the throttle be installed on the super73 S2 model ?
Yes we believe so, we'll confirm soon, when they arrive!
can you add a link to the Throttle please?

Added, thank you for your question. Let me know how else we can help.
Hi do you have a video on how to fit the throttle on the Z1?
Hi ! Sadly the Z1 / ZG is not compatible with the throttle.
Question, how many km can you make only with the throttle on full charged battery?
Depends on lots of things like rider weight, accessories on the bike, wind, terrain. But typically you'll get close to 50km with throttle only on an SG1.
15ah battery throttle only with a 55kg rider you get around 30km on a charge
i broke the thumb speed throttle. Do i need to replace the whole controller? Or do i just need to purchase only the thumb piece separately?
Hi John! The display and throttle is one piece, so you'll need to replace or fix it. Thank you.
Does the throttle work on the new RX?
No the RX will have a different throttle
Hey i was just curious i have a espec carrera vengince and was wondering if it is more or less the same to add a throttle to it
We're not familiar with that model of bike sorry!
Can I use that throttle on a ZG?
Unfortunately not. The ZG is the base model Super73 designed to comply with Australian law only.
@@benbucklerboards I'm in the UK and I think we have the same restriction on ebike I would like install a throttle to give my ZG an extra muscle. Any tips?
Will this throttle olso go on the super73 zg?
Nope sorry, not the ZG
Is it the same for the Z1?
Hello, the Z1 already has a throttle and that's only available in America. The ZG is the Global spec version and is pedal assist only.
Ben Buckler Boards so can you do this to the z1
Is there also a hack for the EU-version to make the assist stronger? I am asking for a friend.

Would the throttle fit the zg model ?
Sadly no, the ZG can't be de-restricted
Is it legal to have it on there if you're not using it?
That is unclear in the Australian Road Rules.
Can you install this throttle on the Super73 ZG that you sell?
Hello, no I'm sorry, the ZG is the base model with limited functionality.
can the throttle be installed on the standard super73-ZG model?
No sorry, the ZG is the base model, that strictly complies with Australian Law.
which models are compatable with a throttle?
Just the SG1. The ZG can't take a throttle and the SG2 & RXG have different throttles.
How can i chance it to km/h instead of mph? Pressing the button with the arrow doesnt work for me
It should be a long press, keep pressing until the units change
Does this work with the super73 zg?
Hello! Possibly in the US. In Australian and Europe, the ZG was only made as a street legal bike and was never designed to accept a throttle.
@@benbucklerboards ok thx

Ben charges 3k extra for the rx then charges you for the throttle smart man
