- Haji's Café is a deep dive into all that's good and wonderful about a visit to Bahrain. An open-air classic Arabic café in the old souk (indoor AC seating too), next to Babel Bahrain, serves up excellent local cuisine. The egg & tomato breakfast with a cup of chai kalat, a side of London soup (dal lentils) and freshly baked bread can't be beaten. They open at 5 or 6 AM. For dinner, the lamb chops are awesome, but get there early or they'll be sold out. Have a chat with Suhair, whose family owns the place. He's a great guy!

@@simonbellyfull Dear mister simon. First off all excuse me for my manners or if i Said something disrespectful. I know what you mean. But the otomans and local people like the kurds who invented yoghurt and the persians are the one who has to be regocnised as original food history. I dont like that the honour goes to other a country. I know influences by time. But the origine turkey as today and Iran have the most foods of all. For example did you know that italys food history is 60 years old. Pizza, parmesan .... is invented in usa not italy . There is a italian food historicus who explains whith facts and evidence.
