Guys, if your children know you love them and are there for them, that makes you great dads. Gifts, vacations, and those "dad" moments you're looking for are just icing on the cake.
i find it interesting that everyone who is a fan here (i am aswell) are so scared of being critical towards them. you think links reaction was justified by him being rich and able to take them on trips? he obviously has some severe control issues, that he should actively work on fixing. but you seem to praise him for it?
Honestly guys it doesn't have to be a perfect vacation. As a kid I can tell you that I remember issues on vacations to laugh but it was the time spent together that I recall most. What is more special than perfection is just quality time spent with your parents!
Those father and daughter magical moments happen through time, years from now she’ll be able to pull good memories from all the experiences and time spent together. There are fathers who could care less about building memories with their daughter/s. There are woman who can only remember how much their father ignored them. The fact that you even take so much time to talk about it demonstrates the love you have for her is special.
I just want to let you guys know how much I love Ear Biscuits. I am a big fan of all your work - GMM and GMMore are the start of my daily morning routine - but there’s just something special about EB. I feel like I’m eavesdropping on two funny friends just chatting away about their lives and adventures, which, I guess in a way, is exactly what I’m doing. My best friend and I met when she was 3 and I was 5 (I’m 43 now), so I really do get the “brother from another mother” vibe that the two of you rock, and I love it. Keep on keeping on. ❤️
Just the fact that you guys care about these things and even watch a netflix show that your daughter/son likes, is awesome in my opinion. It shows that you care.
I appreciate your friend dynamic. I remember years ago when you guys Invented Carpool Karaoke...ended up getting a speeding ticket. After all these years of following your friendship helps me to appreciate my friendships even more. Gets me all emotional to see Link get emotional about how his little girl isn't a little kid anymore. It's amazing to see how you two have grown
Link, you are such a good and thoughtful dad. When I got married I could see my own dad going through something similar. He looked at me and said "I just wish I could show you how special you are to me." And just him saying that was enough... But then he bought me a house. And that was great too but it was his words and intention that meant the most.
Link, for sure she's going to realize and perceive through all of these things later as she gets older. I am 30 this year and I remember so many situations and things that my dad said or did that have definitely shaped me and my values today and how I think about things. there are little lessons that he taught me through different situations that I did not realize were lessons at the time and the more I think about them today the more I am thankful!
Am I the only one that uses Ear Biscuits as a lullaby? Nothing helps me sleep better than the dim lighting and the radio-talk-show-like tone and dialogue between Rhett and Link. I tried all sorts of things to try to fall asleep but listening to these works like a charm. By the way, i don’t mean it is boring, I listen to it again when I’m awake and enjoy it thoroughly too! 😊please keep baking 🍪biscuits for my 👂🏻ears!
I’ve always only listened to your podcasts, and this much more enjoyable. They’re still extremely fun to listen to, but watching you guys interact is the best part
Hearing you guys talk things out about Links daughter makes me wish I had better parents.... that even tried let alone thought how they might have been selfish. You guys are really amazing people.
Jumped through the hoops to vote for you guys. Worth it! Listen to your podcast every week. Also watch GMM every weekday on my lunch. Thanks for all you do Rhettand Link! I'll probably have to retire when you do because my ritual would have to change(which I hope doesn't happen for another 20 years :)). Looking forward to your novel.
Some really sound advice from Rhett. “It’s not about you- it’s about the investment.....”. I appreciate Link being so open here too. I fall into the same thing re: expectations vs reality. Great Ear Biscuit.
I took two solo trips to London. Link’s story solidifies my preference for traveling alone. Because I can take my time and if I get lost, nobody gets mad. I only got on the wrong train once, and it was easy to hope off and go the other direction. But I did spend quite a bit of time waiting at bus stops that were alighting only.
Awe, my kiddos and I love bread! It’s on their sleepy time jams! I named it years ago and it stuck 🤣 but it’s the same stuff I loved to listen to when I fell asleep at night.
Hey Rhett! I'M 37. I get my parents not just a great card for their bday, but a personalized, special type gift. They always love them. I hope you get that too.
@49:08 - don't blame the Ski-Gee for your hare-brained episode, Rhett! 😄 😅 😆 Oh, Link: see if your daughter likes Terry Pratchett. His DiscWorld novels are amazing!
Ah Link! Thank you, I went to London last August and I couldn’t put my finger on what exactly went wrong but I had a hard time and I think it was exactly that, I had an idea in my head of how I thought it should go and I had a similar experience with transportation and it as just a lot harder and messier of a trip than the glamours vacation I had pictured.
Hey guys I know your latest ear biscuit isn't on UA-cam yet, I was listening to it on Spotify on my way to work and EVERY SINGLE TIME you said ok Google my Google in the jeep would click on haha 😂 thanks for that.
I have a couple of songs from 'Bread' on a playlist of favs from the 70s. Excellent choice. Great song to get a makeout session started. Honey there was no Disco in '73. They were following suit of others like The Carpenters, Carole King, etc.
#earbiscuts I went on a snorkel vacation once. We swam out pretty far, i told my friend that my feet were hurting. She said let me see your flipper. I had left the inserts in the flippers. She said 'heres your sign'. Bahahaha!
If you're going to London in August you should go Amorino. Theres loads scattered about but there is one just down the road from the Harry Potter play, they sell these amazing icecream that they shape into flowers. Super yummy
Link, did you go down into the Roman Baths? I found them so cool. Not the Pump Room that you showed in your video but the really old Roman remains beneath that. Well worth a visit.
Custom ski boots definitely do not make you a DB. Anyone that skis with any regularity should get boots custom fitted by a professional boot fitter. They're the most important piece of ski equipment.
I think they key word is "with regularity." If you're skiing often it's just good sense to get custom boots. But it's a little douchey to get custom boots if it's your first time out (which isn't his situation as we know). Though all things consider, Custom Boots Douche is the most harmless incarnation of douche.
Link's daughter shares a birthday with me, but she's 6 years younger. That's pretty cool cause I've never even heard about anyone having a 3/31 birthday

So sorry to hear about Gaga, Rhett, but it's so great that you had such an amazing person in your life. She sounds great. God bless.
Link: Your arch is so high it looks like it's been in one of those torture devices..
...which I think women call high heels
😂
"I embarrassed myself, as well."
"Oh, good!"
I love them so much.
I was laughing so hard at Link giving Rhett crap during his airport story. What great friends.
Yes! And then Link's story of freaking out on the tube.
Link saying "is that right" Is such a southern dad thing I grew up with I can't 😂
The link and sick podcast
Sick and link*
😆
I love ear biscuits. Just like old school GMM.
agreed, it's perfect.
That's why I love ear biscuits too
@@bubblewrapwallpaper l u
It's honestly amazing to hear about how they see their kids and how much they love them
"Theres something in my boot" laughed way too hard at this.
Honestly guys it doesn't have to be a perfect vacation. As a kid I can tell you that I remember issues on vacations to laugh but it was the time spent together that I recall most. What is more special than perfection is just quality time spent with your parents!
"WE CAN'T TAKE AN UBER! I'M INVESTED IN OYSTER CARD! I CAN NAVIGATE! I WILL THROW THIS PHONE ONTO THIS TRACK!"
I don't know why I considered Link rather methodical and would expect him to easily navigate the tube.
@@indicolite3355 Yes. I think that's what he expected of himself too, and got frustrated when things didn't go according to his plan
I love these podcasts I wait all week for them
48:00 ish for the skigee reveal.
(I can't be the only one who came to see the foot after hearing the story on Monday)
THANK YOU
Yup. I listened to it, but had to see it!
Thanks, brotha! Saved me some time :))
I knew that’s what it was in the boot!!
THANKSSS
Rhett is so casual about Shepard getting lost😂

@20:42 They got boats in Harry Potter man. In Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets, all the students get to the school after the break, in boats.
Utkarsh Sharma the first years do it ever year
And the Durmstrang students get there in a ship/boat that works as a submarine.
You guys are so much fun to listen to. I love how you mix humor with introspection. Makes my Sunday!
The amount of compassion I had just for Rhett having a cold surprised me. I love you guys so much! Feel better Rhett!
I can't wait to hear about Rhett's family trip to Scottland :D
Link janking on Rehtt’s customs boots is my favorite thing

I love how Rhett just goes skiing every time lmao
20:40 There is a boat in the first movie/book. As far as I remember they take it from the HW train station across a lake to the HW castle itself.
The pictures in Rhett's story just put it over the top laughed so hard I cried great discussion guys.
Should have called this 10/10 episode "One Happy Douche"
Link, you gave your daughter an amazing 16th birthday.
As a fan and friend we do appreciate all that you do for us. It saddens me that you're sick Rhett. Take some emergen-c!!!
Ugh i always love listening to these stories. It feels like I was there experiencing all of this
You guys have been the best part of my week for what feels like forever now. Thank you for all you do
Link, you are such a good and thoughtful dad. When I got married I could see my own dad going through something similar. He looked at me and said "I just wish I could show you how special you are to me." And just him saying that was enough...
But then he bought me a house. And that was great too but it was his words and intention that meant the most.
Bought you a house? Holy.... wow. My parents can't afford a car. Lol lucky.
Link's commentary on the ski story is gold!
I'm listening to this almost exactly a year into the future, on my dog's three month adoption birthday. Thanks for asking, Link.
*Ahhhhh, chillin' on a Sunday morning with Ear Biscuits. Love these guys.*
Link, for sure she's going to realize and perceive through all of these things later as she gets older. Another excellent Ear Biscuits. Thank you.
Okay voted for you in all categories 💜💜💜 Always supporting My Boys!! Love you Guys 💋

I honestly love hearing link talk about his daughter ☺️ Reminds me how my husband would be if we have a daughter.
This was a pretty *sick* podcast👍
Link, you remind me a little of the dad in National Lampoon’s Vacation regarding your tube and oyster card experience.
I’ve always only listened to your podcasts, and this much more enjoyable. They’re still extremely fun to listen to, but watching you guys interact is the best part
I hope everyone had a nice spring break, you too link and Rhett!
Hearing you guys talk things out about Links daughter makes me wish I had better parents.... that even tried let alone thought how they might have been selfish. You guys are really amazing people.
Wow, this was a nice one. I loved it. ❤

"Your dad is the douchiest dad!" I'm dying at this part.
Some really sound advice from Rhett. “It’s not about you- it’s about the investment.....”. I appreciate Link being so open here too. I fall into the same thing re: expectations vs reality. Great Ear Biscuit.
if link's daughter is a fan of harry potter, your next stop is edinburgh and scotland !
Or different authors. Terry Pratchett is a perfectly acceptable way to waste time!
Love Bread so much! I’ve really bonded with my parents over their music.
Over time the “moment” will be the whole trip. Stories of her “16th Birthday Trip” will become part of your family’s lexicon.
Great rec... i listened to this song, and it was great 👍
I happen to be listening to "The Best of Bread" album in my car the last several weeks with your song rec on it, Rhett. Love Bread, too!
These podcasts get me threw the week one off the things I look forward too thank you guys

I am drinking coffee in a sink it and dink it mug while watching this morning. Gotta rep ya boys
You gotta love Link's enthusiasm to Rhett's suggestion at 3:35ish.
I took two solo trips to London. Link’s story solidifies my preference for traveling alone. Because I can take my time and if I get lost, nobody gets mad. Wow I just finished my trig homework right when link said "we're gonna wrap this up". I love watching ear biscuits while i do homework haha
Awe, my kiddos and I love bread! It’s on their sleepy time jams! I named it years ago and it stuck 🤣 but it’s the same stuff I loved to listen to when I fell asleep at night.
great way to start my morning
Oh yes. Wore out that Bread album when I was younger.
Lol I love these two
Rhett: has a cold voice
Me: has to listen to his version of Folsom Prison Blues again
Always make my day better ❤
I really love the time stamps in the office
Italian guy and an expensive puffy jacket, yup it was definitely a moncler puffer lmao
Hey Rhett! I'M 37. I get my parents not just a great card for their bday, but a personalized, special type gift. They always love them. I hope you get that too.
@49:08 - don't blame the Ski-Gee for your hare-brained episode, Rhett! 😄 😅 😆
Oh, Link: see if your daughter likes Terry Pratchett. His DiscWorld novels are amazing!
I already listened to the podcast when it came out on Monday, but I had to come and see Rhett’s foot 😭😂
As I’m writing this in 2021, it’s funny how they are worried about getting each other sick.
The Umbrella Academy was great, imo. The first episode alone was awesome.
Agreed!
Rhett, I'm with you on ski boots as a seasoned skier!
i love listening while i fold laundry
Yeah, you take me for granted all the time!!
Rhett: Everywhere you look, a douche
Link: It's like looking in a mirror
Can't stop laughing 😂
I love Link's shirt!!
Man, if mythical store had a shirt like the one Rhett is wearing, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
Hey guys I know your latest ear biscuit isn't on UA-cam yet, I was listening to it on Spotify on my way to work and EVERY SINGLE TIME you said ok Google my Google in the jeep would click on haha 😂 thanks for that.
The amount of times they said *douche* 😂😂😂

YESSS THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY
I love Link and Sick podcast

3 years in the future. 1/2/23. I wanna make it with you is a great song. 😊
My dad’s favorite band is Bread. 😂 Grew up on Bread.
I was waiting for this one to come out in UA-cam just to see what the mini windshield wiper looked like
Bread...now that's a good rec. Baby imma want you is me and my husbands song
The airport where I live is about the same size as the tiny airport Rhett flew out of. They don't even open security until 30 minutes before takeoff 😆
By "middle of the year stocking stuffers" did you mean... Easter basket stuffers? 😂
If you're going to London in August you should go Amorino. Theres loads scattered about but there is one just down the road from the Harry Potter play, they sell these amazing icecream that they shape into flowers. Super yummy
Haha link getting bleeped multiple times...
I have the mythical logo pop socket second one!!!
First one I lost but the logo faded off, this one I put clear nail polish so it still looks great!!!
Link, did you go down into the Roman Baths? I found them so cool. Not the Pump Room that you showed in your video but the really old Roman remains beneath that. Well worth a visit.
LOVE link’s shirt
