Living In kelowna, you see it in the parks as kids are playing soccer and basketball. Families are at the play structures. They have homes specifically built for addicts in which they can use inside the homes right across the street from said parks.(usually still in parks in front of children) The worst is an RCMP office is in the very same park. And because of these laws, they are unable to do anything or simply choose not to. To ask people to pay 1400 for a 300 sq ft apartment and be unable to enjoy the parks is a crime in itself. My wife works in child and youth care. She sent me a video of the outer perimeter, from inside of her office, showing a group of addicts gathered at the side of the building. The video shows a woman masturbating with an old banana, while everyone else is busily shooting up. This is a child and youth care facility that deals with children with disabilities and parents trying to cope and learn to be effective parents of children with disabilities and that's what they have to walk past in order to get in the front door. Thanks to Trudeau and the BC NDP's approach to addiction and substance abuse.
Perhaps it's time we stop talking about children/people with disabilities and concentrate on children/ people with different abilities.

If you voluntarily injected illegal drugs into your body to get high, and get addicted to doing that, how is this our fault? If you do so many drugs that it ends up killing you, again, how is it anyones fault but yourself? Giving an addict free drugs to continue doing those drugs is not a treatment, it is enabling.
Common sense has become so rare that it actually should be renamed. At this point it has become uncommon sense. I do agree that many of the societal changes inflicted on us seem to be designed to cause harm and decline in what once was our strong, beautiful country. We desperately need to turn that around.

My little girl was running in Jones Lake Park and stepped on a crack pipe (I had her in thick rubber boots, so she was fine).
Every time we go to Prince Edward park, there's someone doing crack, or screaming at any of the kids/parents in the park.
We had to leave the other day from St. Bernadette school park because a drugged out man was screaming and running through the park trying to pick fights, swearing..
We live in Moncton. It's no big city. But we get all of the crazy, strung out loonies sent here because we have "better resources". Sure, maybe in comparison, but it's not enough and we're seriously inundated..
This is not the Canada I knew. It's nearly impossible to go anywhere without being afraid of getting hurt or having your stuff stolen..
