    HAVE YOU EVER TRIED AN 8 STRING? This is the Ibanez RG5328 8 string monster! The Ibanez RG5328 is a 24 fret, double humbucker guitar with an ebony fretboard, wenge and maple neck, and an ash body.
    The humbuckers in this Ibanez RG5328 are passive DiMArzio Fusion 8 edge ceramic pickups.
    With a Tusq nut, stainless steel frets, 27" scale length and 430mm fretboard radius this Ibanez RG5328 is a beast.
    Some other great features on this 8 string Ibanez are the Gotoh locking tuners and glow in the dark side dots.
    The 3 way switch lets you use the humbuckers as you normally would but with the coil tap engaged, it's more like Telecaster pickup positions with both humbuckers split.
    It's worth noting that this Ibanez RG5328 also comes with a hard case.

    are Japanese guitars better?
    Short answer: YES
    Medium length answer: They're the best guitars ever
    Long answer: Please make a Japanese Chapman line! I think it's gonna sell pretty damn well

    As a GenX bass player, the quality of basses and guitars coming out of the Matsumoku factory in the late 70s/early mid 80s, especially the Aria brand was second to non. I have an 85 Aria SB1000 and it's bulletproof. The build is flawless and the playability and sound is world class. If someone could reproduce that quality, many an American brand would be looking over their shoulder.

    I own a few Japanese Jackson's and they are incredibly well built and the necks are so different. Last Japanese guitar I bought not too long ago was a Caparison Horus and that one is the best guitar I've ever played, the attention to detail and how comfortable the neck is.

    Is it harder on your thumb? For those of us that are thumb challenged. I have a Limited Edition prestige AZ2204 KB Koa Brown and it was a pain for 6 months I toiled to try to get rid of the fret Buzz. Also it has a crack in the clear coat in the neck pocket and Ibanez was not very helpful! I’m still paying on that guitar! But I have a Ibanez Road-star II from 1986 and that guitar is perfection.

    The fact ESP Japan is it's own seperate business from the USA speaks volumes because the Japanese mastery cannot be compared to the USA models. USA customs in fact just don't scratch the surface on what ESP Japan can do.

      Also Burny/Edwards make Les Paul guitars that are so 1:1 that Gibson are scared because the quality is far better and include a few modern features in some models like a sustainer.

    • @greekfreak1980
      @greekfreak1980 2 роки тому +2

      The USA ESP ''Customs'' and I use quotations deliberately, are not even real custom shop instruments.
      For example, the Horizon II is only available as a hardtail version and only with a one-piece string through body bridge. Even the E-II production series (formerly known as ''Standard Series'') has more variety in bridges!
      If you go the Japan ESP custom shop, you can get literally every bridge or other option you like and it's not even that the USA ESP's are cheaper or anything.

    Had a beautiful Japanese strat, which I didn't get on with. Tuning stability wasn't great, and it would fret out with bends up high, probably more related to the traditional neck radius. Traded up for a USA strat, and it was better in every way. I have a Japanese Charvel which I prefer to the current MIM Charvels - just feels amazing. Only other Japanese guitar I have is a 10th Anniversary Jem, which I've never actually played yet. I think any country can make as good as a guitar as they want to. I won't buy Chinese simply because I have an issue with that country in general.

    As a 7 string player, I dont see any positives of the 8 string. As the 7th string is barely audible and chords sound worse the lower you go. Im tuned down 1 and 1/2 steps with super heavy gauge strings and even then I wouldnt need to go lower.... thats what a base is for.

    • @jeekyboi9564
      @jeekyboi9564 2 роки тому +1

      On the other hand though, you could just own an 8 string and keep the 8th (and 7th) string off, if you needed and it would be fine. Plus the little bit of added sustain from extra surface area/mass wouldnt hurt. 👌🏻

    • @ottoman666
      @ottoman666 2 роки тому +4

      Maybe you don't have the right amp/tone settings there are quite a few prog/deathcore/metal bands that use 8 strings these days...saves tuning lower and gives more options. True you could buy a baritone guitar or put thicker strings and downtune a 6 or 7 string but I guess it may increase the tension if the scale length is longer or if the 8 string is designed for lower tunings
