- First Blue Cats of the Year! Grabbing Catfish! Catfish noodling with legends. Caught 8 blue cats and a flathead. Great start to our fishing season! Getting ready to grab a lot more!

My friends dad was drowned by a 75 pounder, in the white water river here in Indiana, about 60 years ago. I caught a 37 pound shovelhead when I was 10 on 6lb test, with a sears open bale rod and reel, made my dad smile, some thing we rarely got to see. Things like this with family you never forget.
What a Wonderful Life who else does this with their daughter you two are the best continued success and I love watching your shows thanks so much.👍❤

Nice flathead, last spring I caught a 47” 26 pound flathead while jiggingfor walleye on the Saginaw river here in Michigan and that was my biggest catfish to date, I would love to catch a big blue cat on my fishing pole.
Not trying to be a butthole but a 47" flathead would weigh in the low 50’s.

Hannah pushing her dad down reminds me of how I work in the forest cutting down trees with my dad. He is almost 80. I now have begun pushing him around and telling him to hurry up as he has started to slow down at at that kind of work. It's kind of eye opening when you realize your dad needs your help. You realize that you are now the man of the house and the man of the family. I hope I can do good job at that.

Do catfish 'noodlers' ever encounter snapping turtles or alligators etc? That's what would scare me most. If so, how do you deal with them?
