- Tempest Optics' Vince O'Malley joins Ryan Harris to talk about the new Tempest heated goggle. These are unique in that they do not have an external battery pack, no wires, and no switch. Cool right? www.tempestoptics.com
The Tempest goggle will be a game changer! Can't wait to get my hands on one.
It’s great to see more heated goggles, I want yo try these side by side with my ignite 2.0
I’ve never bought a set of heated goggles because of all of the negatives, I will definitely try this goggle at this price point
🤯that’s sounds like a ton of good tech🤯. Need to get my hands on some
Just ordered a pair! 👊🏽👊🏽
Just curious, why didn’t you actually show close-ups of the goggle and lens. I’m guessing I can see this on a website but I just watched a 25 minute video and feel like I listened to a podcast about a goggle.
Same
Not so concerned about the fog as I am about the icing on a trail ride while its snowing/sleeting ?
I have owned 2 pair….. of the ABOM,, they are excellent!!!!
Definitely interested.
FYI - Rode with two guys yesterday @ rabbit ears pass, co. Using these for the first time. Blue bird day and all they did was complain about fogging issues. Said they wish they had not bought them, $500 worth! Remember what your grandpa always said? At least mine, If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS!
this is the only review i have found so far . ... does anyone have some they can elaborate on ?
Have your two guys reach out to Tempest Optics and we'll fix their issue or give them their money back.
Generally I don’t have issues fogging but last year I had a snowing deep day that almost became a safety issue. We ended our day early and I decided my next goggles would be heated. Would like Ryan’s opinion on best tint for those type of conditions. I currently have rose and photo-chromatic. I feel like rose is a bit more versatile than yellow but would appreciate your opinion.
So if it doesn't have an on and off switch and automatically can sense moisture and temperature and humidity or whatever then what would stop it from just running non-stop in your gear bag or just randomly running somewhere else when you're not using it.
It wont. Ran them all last year and went over 3 days straight without charging. they were in my trailer, in my snowmobile bag and never had any issues. Stupid easy is the best term I have heard for them.
My ABOMS STILL WORK GREAT FOR ME
Have been using my ABOM goggles since 2019 in Breckenridge CO for downhill skiing and am very happy with them. I like the ability with the ABOM to put it into supercharged mode on a particularly humid snow day. I was sorry to see ABOM close shop. Will take a look at the Tempest goggles when the company begins deliveries.
And I never heard you mention anything in this about people who wear glasses
What about helmet fitment?
Google search can't find website or Instagram

Curious to know if they use the same frame that Abom used or if the google is completely new?
It is completely new. Larger field of view than predecessor.
Gonna buy a pair just to REVERSE ENGINEER the goggles so it's not a HUGE CLASSIFIED SECRET...
