    This was a issues for dirt perfect around same time as your video. Thanks.

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  2 роки тому

      Ya. Was kinda the reason why I made this one. Didn't want to have the same issue. And if you do it once or twice a year it's quick.

    Argh.....just noticed this issue on my SVL 90-2 today. Little oil drip from the bottom of the lift cylinder. When I saw the dirt I was just hoping it was a loose fitting and not a crack in the cylinder. Have to thaw it out before I can clean the crud out of there. Good to know where the clean-out cover is! Thanks.

      Bummer it's leaking but at least you know where to look. Glad this helped ya out

    I did see DP's rant about the leak and the fitting.
    He got way to worked up over the deal. It's his machine to maintain, he just did not pay attention.
    Compact Equipment are going to have issues that the big machines don't .

      I have to say we did neglect that area too and never realized it would pack that full of dirt and sticks.

    Do you ever lightly pressure was the inside? Mine stays dirty inside from the dust. I’ve been thinking about hitting the the inside as well with the pressure washer, closing off all the A/C vents of course. Wandering how others are cleaning the inside? Good video!

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Garrett glad you enjoyed the video. No I have not hit the inside with a hose but everything should be sealed tight. They do make open cabs. We have taken the leaf blower to it and get some out thrn use a wet cloth. Hmm hose would be faster tho haha

    Nothing like having a preventative maintenance schedule Kev saves money in the long run.

      Yup I agree. We try to stay on top of it.

    You were referring to a foam canon. Get a good one with brass nozzle. I use a SudMagic Foam Cannon Pressure Washer Gun - Brass Threaded Bottle - Car Wash Soap Foam Blaster and it works unreal. Use if for my vehicle and will use it for my very 1st washing of my new SVL 75-2 soon. good vid btw. Question, do you wash the interior of the cab? I understand there are drain holes in the bottom but havent looked yet on mine.

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the info on the sudmagic I will look into that more. We haven't washed the inside yet but have heard of guys use low pressure to. I know they do make these machines with open stations so they should be sealed well.

      I use a foam cannon on my equipment, it works well. The side windows are the worst on the Kubota to clean. Due to the steel cage on the outside of the glass, mine gets pine needles and such stuck between the cage and glass. Impossible to truly clean the glass without removing the windows, which I’ll be doing to mine very soon. I also had a leak at the rear of the Aux couplers recently on my SVL90-2. Had a dealer repair it for less than $150. Considering the cost of the wrench I would’ve had to buy just to hope I could fix it, it was money well spent.

    where did you get the radiator guard?

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  Рік тому

      It came from armordillo gaurds out of Texas. It works fine but do wish it was heavier built.

    Great tips Kev! Our Cat 279C finally got a good de-hogging this spring. Being primarily used as a landscape asset, there were very few sticks which is oftentimes what begins the bridging process. The undercarriage on the Kubota’s seem to be Much better thought out. Cat has too many flat surfaces🤬. Cleaning time is when I miss a wheeled machine the most😬😉
    Bless’ns to ya, Tedd

      Thanks Tedd! Ya its easy to say to clean it out all the time but it can be difficult to keep up with during busy season . Kubota has a few bad spot but I think every machine has that. Hope you have a great week

    Dag Gone, Kev...Did you put a Little Tree air freshener and a paper mat down on the floor board also?!?!
    Hot water power sprayers are the only way to go with greasy equipment!

    • @SkidderKev
      @SkidderKev  3 роки тому +1

      Haha no air freshener but it could use one haha. Ya a hot water washer would be nice and does work better. We will just have to paint the totes black to get our hot water haha

      Ya its been pretty hot. In the 90s the beginning of the week and VERY muggy. Bit cooler now which is nice. It has been good for the garden and crops tho.
