"I eventually reached a point where I realized that my music wouldn't be appreciated in my lifetime, and like the personal paintings of Van Gogh, I resolved to consider my music a product for the future; that is the only place I think it will be appreciated and understood. I suspect the objectivity of my death, will eventually succeed in contextualizing the value of my music. I'm an artist long before I'm a composer."
