- Exactly what the title says folks! I have a $10 outfit, and I compare it to the $1,300 outfit. Which one is more cost effective?
I purchased the $10 outfit from amazon.com.
The $1,300 outfit is from www.jedirobeame... (purchased in March of 2017)

That $1300 kit from Jedi Robe is unfortunately pretty low quality and way over-priced. You can get an accurate, movie-quality Stormtrooper kit from any of the vetted vendors listed on whitearmor.net, and at about half the price as this one if you are willing to put the armor together.
That is a great website for browsing different types of armor, I will say though that buying through jedirobe was easy, and I didn't receive a kit. Everything was already done for me. I appreciate the heads up!
Imagine paying $1300 for an unapprovable suit that would need that much work. And yes he might not give a shit about 501st approval, but still that low quality and uncomfortable AND HOT. Should have done some research.
@Alex Manton Go look up on etsy.com There are vendors that make all different sorts of armour on there. I haven't bought one myself but 850 armour works comes recommended as a store on etsy. Also get on the website whitearmor.net for information and to find info on joining the 501st if you want.
Anything info related to stormtroooper costumes can be found on the forums at whitearmor.net.
Look it’s the 501st facists who shun anybody who don’t have a movie accurate suit , not everybody has the skill to make a kit buddy maybe consider that

Pretty sure you have the same blaster protective power from either armour, but have to say the 1300 look pretty dam good.

The only thing on the Trooper armors what bothers me a bit is the clonky noises when you move. A good idea to make them sound a bit more solid is a thin layer of foam (1-2mm) underneath each part and it sounds a lot more realistic, quieter and solid.

Ya could always just buy more accurate armor parts over time on ebay. Granted there are sellers ,selling sub par parts n such, so be cautious and check out the various armor forums that were mentioned in past comments. I had done this myself instead of getting the whole suit at one time and upgraded previous stuff to be more accurate. In the end i only spent 225 bucks total.1300 is waaaay too much for my tastes,lol.
Actually, ebay, amazon and etsy are not good places. Too many scammers and people selling junk. Best place for TK armor is the forums at whitearmor.net.

If you just want to go halloween or other costume parties you could do well with the 10 $-costume. If you want to go 501st Legion, you have to spend more of course. But i would build it myself. It´s sometimes better then if you order it completed from a maker. Except if you go with RS. They make great quality builds. AND: they are the only maker with access to a original screen used Episode 4 stormtrooper costume.
i got the reduced size at 5'4" and i feel it's just a little to big especally in the upper arm

Would you modify your suit to be more comfortable but editing it as a night trooper from the Asoka series? The night troopers from the series under admiral Thrawn is kind Roman theme of night sisters bands around the crack Armour with gold fillings.

Nice armour mine is a fiberglass storm trooper armour.
You can get 400$ stormtrooper armor from anovos very cheap but very high quality don’t spend money on other crappy armor
They are a little cheaper, but they are kits. The cheapest kit I saw was $900. These are already pre-assembled.
Anovos should be avoided. They take your money and never send you your stuff.

I put in my order for the whole storm trooper package and it comes with the voice Amplifier and Pauldron.. have you used the voice Amplifier from jedi robe or know how good it is?? I can't find anything on the internet about them
I have no personally used the one from the website. I got one off of amazon that works pretty well. It was under $50 at the time of purchase, years ago. Let me know how Jedi Robe's works out!
I got the package today, voice changer actually sounds pretty decent..I have a naturally deeper voice so I gotta do a small impression to sound right but it's good... gotta come up with a better system to attach all the armor though... being all velcro is going to get old quick😂😂
1. You cannot sit down in it, 2, you say its loud,3 it pinches your body joints ,4 blaster it's a prop.
dali lomos diy stormtrooper helmet is basically a cardboard replica and I really recommend it it takes a long time but is worth it

For 150 extra can get the most accurate suit on the market from rspropmasters fully built with a blaster, undersuit, armour in full and a helmet

The Costume/Outfit looks just like the ones you'd see at Disneyland/Disneyworld, the costume would be 10* better if it came with a pauldron

Do you know of any places that have clone trooper armor for cheap. I checked jedirobeamerica to see if there was anything similar to your stormtrooper armor but in clone armor but they don't have it and everything there is super overpriced
