Comments are appreciated, I will probably make other similar videos and will take comments into consideration when I do. Vanguard is a massive game and there is certainly a lot to make videos of.

They allow me to run the game at maximum settings at 1920x1200 with 16x forced AA (the game has no AA so it really really improves the looks, even just 4x or 8x will give you great improvements)

It's increasing. It was pretty low for a while but since the training area and trial accounts launched there has been a nice increase in new players.
It is definitely improving, I have no problem finding groups for main quests. You might be surprised at the population if you try it again :)
This vid makes me wanna come back to VG. Most atmospheric world i've ever been in. It has some annoying bugs, which made me and a friend quit, but itäs still out top 1 MMO out there. See if i can get my friend to come back with me.
for a house and a boat youre looking at about 5 plat, and thats for a galleon. You can buy a sloop for much less. and thats also for the top tier house, cheaper ones can be made.
There are two or three types of boats you can get (I haven't been in the game for a year or so so memory fails.) The smallest one is somewhat expensive but certainly not prohibative. I think they were selling for about 20gold when I left, but the prices vary all over the place.
That's less than the old level 40 mount in WoW as far as how much effort it was to get.
Kind of makes me think of where Trion might have gotten some of their environmental artists from. Hmmmm...

After watching all of ur videos i begun to miss VG alot! It has so damn good grp combat, but the problem is that there is no players to grp with :( If the population grows enough i think i'll come back, i'm playing LOTRO atm.
My comp will be fixed in 2 days and I'm coming back to VG!! i played during the beta and had the preordered version but i left due to all the bugs and such, i've heard it's better now so i think i'll come back and give it another try. I just hope the population isn't too wrecked to get groups
you should check out the melee fighters' combat animations. He was a caster, he wasnt doin much with melee.

@PerceptualStructure PvP makes the game whole. It makes you have to play more strategically (taking darker routes, being smarter, etc). Trust me, as a die-hard PvP mmo fan it is truly immersible.
Not Butcher, I ran this game on my 1950xtx, 2.6dual core 2gb ram, everything at Medium and game ran just fine ^^
Housing can take a bit seeing you have to save up money and build it yourself, but worth it

It's a 32 bit application so there will be hardly any advantage in running it on a 64-bit OS, but there is no problem with it either. It will run more-or-less the same on 32-bit or 64-bit.

@Laxmaster72 Both games are good. Vanguard is for people who enjoy a difficult game, while Everquest II has been nerfed quite a bit.
Well, Vanguard will be going free to play now...I am downloading the client for a 14 day free trial. Just passing time for GW2 and Diablo 3...but i do want to experience Vanguard at least once. Thanks for the video

I completely agree, there are all these outdated and extremely biased negative videos so we need to show people how much the game has changed.
Lol there is even this video where a guy is complaining about the camera not moving smoothly as he walked up steps. I was just thinking, what the hell kind of world does he live in where stairs are the same as ramps... :p

I will admit that Vanguard has the best classes, races, and look of any MMO I have ever played. how ever the lack of population and the lack of SOE caring about the game in general is what keeps me and my wife from playing the game...

is it similar to Star Wars Galaxies? In trms of sanboxness, if such word even exist.
@SubJunk Better Graphics, classes, races, raiding, combat system, grp harvesting and more. No PVP (i think pvp ruins MMORPGS cuz of balancing, play a FPS if u wanna PvP)
And yes, its much harder than any other MMORPG out there, but also much more rewarding :)
The only problem i have is with the fighting animations, they look sketchy.
Sony seems to do this to all theur games. They either take a great game like SWG and kill it or they take a game such as Vanguard which has so much potential and go no where with it :( its sad but unfortunatly Sony is no longer a game creator in which i trust.
Sucks that its merging into one server (if you don't know then see my vid)
