  • Just a short video to show you that I've installed a replacement Webasto Diesel heater in my sailing yacht Zephyr IV. This was the start of the 2023 season. Which seemed to be full of problems.

another difficult job especially in such confined space. Well done in getting the new one installed as well as getting in working again. Looks like you will be nice and warm in the current cold conditions.

Thanks Siggi, it's working well as I type this. Just taking the early morning chill out of the boat :-)

Good stuff, and well done. They are amazing these little diesel heaters for us eager sailors... its the best way to get rid of all that diesel we seem to be putting in our fuel tanks. Best of luck on your voyages this season. Best regards from Jarle

Thanks Jarle. I wish I could have taken more video but a lot of the time I was having problems just getting my hands and tools in places.
I'm enjoying your video's keep up the good work.. Dave

Hi, just for matter of interest how many litres per hour does the heater use.

OOh that's a hard question - not a lot though. The documentation says 0.5 litres/hour at full power.

Oh I wish I was so limber. I'm 79 and things do stiffen up. The problems with small spaces is you can see what needs adjusting etc. but once you put your arm in you can't see it any more, so a lot of it gets done by feel. I was really glad when it was all over :-)
