I have often thought about Prince also. But Michael and Prince was icons in my youth and Jimin is just as unique as them
❣️This hidden track, that can only be found on Jimin’s “FACE” physical album cd, Jimin’s song, “The Letter”, is such an amazing, ever so beautiful, so heartfelt song dedicated to Army, who he says really helped him, especially during the pandemic, as he mentioned, when he felt in despair, emotional, distraught, reflecting on himself, going through a depression, but throughout he really felt the love support, faith & belief in him, that army gave him, which now that he’s found himself and is uplifted, wants to do the same for army. So beautiful how BTS hidden tracks, like “Sea” and now Jimin’s “The Letter”, are mainly written just for army. Jimin not only is the one playing guitar, but JK in the last couple of verses can be hear harmonizing with Jimin in the background. Also on the Cd, it amazingly starts at exactly 6:13 minutes which is when BTS debuted, (June 13 2013). It’s like a more personal private message by way of song, meant mainly for army. I mean only army would get the word out about this so heartwarming, so beautiful song. Though anyone who actually listens to the physical Ep will get the wondrous, ever delightful surprise when discovering this song as well. Also more and more are talking about it so ppl other then army are now hearing about this hidden gem as well!
Side Note: The harmonica was more then likely, inspired to use because Jimin’s character he created, Chimmy, plays the harmonica. BTS designed in 2018, their own line of characters they themselves designed & created, they called BT21.

Yes and we as ARMY recognise Jimin's use of the line 'desert becomes an ocean' that line BTS used in another song to describe ARMY (BTS fandom name) It's for us.
The 6:13 was intended on this track...like most of the songs put out by BTS, not much is just by chance or because it sounded cool. Even their choreography has meaning to the words/ songs. It's a cake ,seven layers, icing throughput, sprinkles on top,ala'mode .😊

It's a song for Army. I think all army know it. The desert and ocean in this lyric mean a lot for BTS and Army.

this song was a beautiful gift to ARMY. One had to flash a light to the page to see the credits to the song. Otherwise it looks like a blank page. JK was given credit for background vocals and it also noted Jimin did guitar along with someone else. Truly special. I love love this song

This is an amazing song. It went directly heart of me... LITERALLY I CRIED with listening the album songs... But, LETTER, was a great gift from Jimin to us. THIS GIFT SHOW US THE GREAT PERSON JIMIN IS.

This is such a pretty relaxing song. I did see where Jimin played the guitar but how much or where in the song, I don't know. I love the harmonica and it would be great if Jimin did play it. What I would love to see is Jimin and JK doing an acoustic version where they sit down together singing and playing their guitars or other instruments they play to enhance the song live.
They won't do it other than maybe on a weverse live for ARMY as it's only for ARMY not for non ARMY.

Not everything needs to be analyzed. Sometimes we just need to feel it.
That's true for some but my brain analyzes everything naturally. I can't just feel something & not analyze it in fact the more something makes me feel the more my brain likes to analyze why. Different strokes for different folks.

No it'll never be commerically advertised it's a message only for ARMY that's only found on the CD, it's not found on any digital platform. I have the physical CD plus I also have the album on my spotify account and of course this Letter is not on the album on spotify.
He has credits for the guitar not for the harmonica tho!

Jimin said specifically a couple places (Suchwita, his Weverse Live for Face) that this song was written to ARMY. It literally came from a letter he wrote to ARMY after the dinner where they announced their break from group activities, at the suggestion of a PD. He wanted to reassure us of his love, and makes a couple references to BTS songs--the desert being an ocean (Sea) and bringing spring to winter (Spring Day). He made it a hidden track to signal that it is a gift to ARMY, and not meant to be commercial. It's these kinds of gestures that make BTS's relationship with ARMY so extraordinary. 💜 JK is also very vocal and profuse in the declaration of his love for ARMY, so it is really fitting for him to be singing backup, and an extra special gift to us too! 💜 Jimin hasn't confirmed it, but in the first teaser (or something) about his album, it showed him playing a guitar while he was working on his music.

If you really are ARMY you'd recognise all the referrence to ARMY in Jimin's song and you'll also recognise that JK does the backing vocals. you also need to understand that Korean is different from English. That in English to and for can and usually mean the same thing.
Yes Jimin gives us Michael Jackson vibes everytime 🤗 some reactors says he is like a Korean Michael Jackson. If you have Disney BTS has a movie with their permission to dance concert. Yes they do mostly sing live

Jimin loves the sea/beach and we can hear it in the background on the intro and end. Its like he singing while him sitting playing guitar looking at the water/waves. I cried when i heard this song. In the Face album, this track lyrics are not in black print. You have to use a penlight to read it. Hidden thats why and you have to wait minutes before this song plays. Jimin is really smart.

Sorry he was playing the guitar not the harmonica. But I was seriously waiting for you to hear the harmonica come in, knew you would love it and the ocean sounds. The lyrics were written white on white on the last page. Also only those with the physical album had the option to hear the hidden track. Then after it was put out there so that they showed the lyrics and music.

is so sweet that you pointed out jungkook is part of the secret he gave to army, the fact he is there, not featured, but hidden in backing vocals, answering him, is very telling for me, also jungkook learned the cords on guitar, and played to us in a live a few hour before face was released, he didnt tell what it was for he said was a lesson in guitar, i think the song is about army, but not only about us
