Actual mix engineers on YT: David Gnozzi (mixbus TV), Matthew Weiss ( Weiss advice), Sarah Carter, Marc Daniel Nelson, and of course Warren Huart (Produce like a Pro). They all have great tutorials on YT, and little tips and tricks, but if you want the whole sauce recipe you're gonna have to pay for their full tutorials.

I dig what youre saying, but there are really no rules to mixing. The sound that is out now with distorted or peaking 808s is sonically wrong, but it is the sound of the new generation that is driving the industry. Todays sound is amateur sounding with a professional sheen to it if that makes since.

I understand what you're saying, but there's rules to everything. For instance, its basic rule to eq and compress vocals. Also, the distorted 808 doesn't make sense on its own , but together with other elements in the beat makes it sound good to the ear.
