Every time I drive past that stone house at 1:44 it makes me sad. It is such a cool house but since I can remember it's been tagged and missing all of its windows.
I had to watch this video to see if they show my old neighborhood Eastside Arlington between 21st and 30th street next to the old Headstart school but no I didn't see it. Lived there from the age of 18 years to 47 years. Hearing gunshots was a daily thing. Stray dogs and cats running the neighborhood cause people would come to that neighborhood to dump their unwamted pets and to dump their unwanted trash. A woman up the street ran her husband/boyfriend over breaking both his legs after they got in a fight on the street and he punched her in the face. A truck driver in a semi came racing down the alley taking out powerlines, our back fence before chrashing through another two fences as he drove though two other houses backyards heading toward Arlington St. The back of his semi was on fire at this point as he drove up Arlington and ended up in the parking lot at the power company he did all this after a man jumped in the cab of his truck at the stoplight trying to rob him. Another man who lived just the other side of the headstart school was arrested after he murder two teenage boys around Christmas time because he said they broke in and robbed him, he tried to hid the bodies but he didn't do very well oh and he was a bounty hunter. At one point in time the house next door to us had a sign up that read Candy Store but they weren't selling candy candy. Finally got tired of it and moved out.
I lived my teens around 38th and Sherman. It wasn't bad then. My folks have all moved out past 81st now. but when I come back to visit, I sometimes drive through this area. I know it'll be bad and I'll be unhappy about it but I'm just sentimental I guess.

Many trying to sell their homes on lower Meridian-Kessler because the crime element is too close to home. Post, Rural, etc. and basically areas East of the city are riddled with the ghetto-crime element of society.
likea whispr Meridian Kessler is not a dangerous neighborhood in Indianapolis. I've seen what M.K. looks like and its not bad at all. Haughville has to be one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Indy, so that's one neighborhood people should stay away from.

Damn bro this is my hometown! 2:17 that White Castles is where a brother walked up on my car one night at 2 AM while I was in the drive thu. He had a gym bag. Like it was no big deal, he unzipped that gym bag and reached in...scared the shit outta me because who knows what he's about to pull out. Dude had deodorant sticks...all different kinds. I bought two just because. Got my sliders then jet. Still went back to that White Castles the next weekend.
42nd through 30th and post might only be second to 38th and Sherman. I’ve spent too much time in both areas. It’s wild. Just heard automatic gun fire on 38th and Sherman the other week. Usually it’s just semi auto’s and police sirens every night.
My city. Don't live around there but have definitely been there. This is a pretty rough area but Indy's worst spots are Near East Side anywhere from Arlington Ave, Sherman, E 10th, New York Street, SE Prospect and Keystone, NE 34th Mass Ave, Far East Post and 34th to 38th, Haughville on Near West Side just East of the river to Speedway and Tibbs, and pretty much anywhere north of Downtown up Meridian and Illinois to 38th
Sadly, Indianapolis is rising to be one of the most dangerous cities, because everyone moves from Chicago, Gary, or Detroit. This is my neck of the woods, and watching the news at night is just depressing
Even here in Kokomo, use see the occasional DUI or Drug arrest, but everyday for the past week or 2 there's been numerous shootings, Overdoses, High Speed Chases etc, and all this just started happening within the past year or 2 - shit ton of heroin moving through here probably one of the root causes.
I need some shocks on the back, I need some work on the brakes My passenger side window, sometimes it just dont wanna raise I hear bumps and crunks, pings and ticks and dings I got a hole in my muffler and other minor things
Terrance Smith yea come to Milwaukee and drive round Burleigh, locust, center, Hadley, Wisconsin, wells, highland, capitol, Atkinson, and tha Eastside, Southside 😎😎
This is my hometown but I left it 30 years ago. Every time I go back for a visit, it's a heartbreaking sight. I see nothing about it has gotten better. After you get past the hipster gentifrication downtown and before you get to the surburban sprawl past 62nd street, Indy is still just one giant ghetto. It's not so much about race as it is money. If you're black and making money, you just give up and get out, too.
1:45 That house on the left. On the street to the left, I believe was watching the Naptown riders club houses just down the street. The two story with red roof. On the side you can see big windows that you couldn't see through. Then all of a sudden, for reasons unknown to me their club was raided.. All activity stopped at those houses, and then this house went vacant and now you can see inside of the windows. of the house at 145.. Crazy shit.. 1:59 You can see wood covering the windows Now all of these homes to the left, and now have been torn down.
That was our Saturday night treat. My brothers and I would walk from 34th and College to get a sack of those burgers. That was 50 years ago and it's still there. Damn.

It's not funny. What's future of Indy if this keeps up? Will you be able to live anywhere that's actually in Indianapolis or is it going to be another "ring" city with everyone living off loop highways like 465? I was born in Indy as was my mother and her parents. I wanted to be buried there in Crown Hill. My family has been there since 1901. We survived the Klan years, the boom and bust years. Now... I don't know.

I drive through 38th every night on the way to work. I get gas and drinks at the station in this video every week. Yeah statistically it's got the highest murder rate in the city, but if you're not causing problems, problems won't come to you. Space is just space. I've never had any issues.
I see lots a potential. Houses like this in Atlanta would get renovated and flipped into $200k bungalows in a heartbeat. But then again Atlantans want to live intown. Indianapolis folks not so much.
I'll admit there are some ghetto areas in Indianapolis, however I do believe the good outweighs the bad with Indy and I'll give several reasons why. Indianapolis is one of only four major Midwestern cities that grows in population every decade (Columbus, Omaha, and Wichita are the only other major Midwestern cities that grow every decade.) Indianapolis is not a Rust Belt city which Detroit, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Saint Louis, and Cincinnati all are. The five Rust Belt cities all have worse crime, poverty, and unemployment rates than Indy does. That would explain why those five cities have consistently lost population every decade since the mid 20th century. Another thing Indianapolis has going for it is that Indy is becoming the tech industry hot spot of the Midwest. I know Salesforce purchased Indianapolis' tallest skyscraper in 2016, also Angie's List is headquartered in Indy as well. One last thing I will say is that as much as Indianapolis' crime rate may be on the high side, it is not even the most dangerous city in the state of Indiana either. Gary is the most dangerous, ghetto, and scary looking city in Indiana. After Gary I'd say East Chicago is the next worst city in Indiana.
Hey I never asked Charlie to stop doing videos didn't I? I don't think so he can continue to videos whenever he wants and I ain't gonna stop him from doing anything smh.
