Just a update on this. If you use a BME280 sensor in esphome with the new ESPHome update. 2024.2.0 the code i used had a breaking change. I have updated the code so you can just copy this code i have in the video description now and it will work with the new update.

Great the way you built up the project step by step over a series of videos.
Be interested to see something similar for motion sensor light switch

Thanks for the feedback and support. Making a wall motion light switch would work, but you wouldn't be able to dim the overhead light, which for me would be a no, no. You could do it with PWM signals, but trying to adjust 120 VAC is tricky. It is better just to buy a wifi or zwave or zigbee wall switch that can be dimmed and works with HA, and then control that with my mmWave and light/lux sensor pakage i talk about in this video ua-cam.com/video/YNEQxj-JnEs/v-deo.html There a are several that would work, for example these are the ones i use in my home www.amazon.com/Enbrighten-QuickFit-SimpleWire-Assistant-46204/dp/B08288S9W3/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1CCAYA1MJCQYZ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.aPW4IHfGUk7USKcuVgdvQqbxLIvODdwbCEq5xTikZGsELOTRYavkPM6UyQwSHpkakz4zsZNeqHCP9UjIzzpnj2t-W5PnuULA9XFkPJVr0U1Pzm1i7SgfkVLtChmGdBVkv835tKlzJIFUKGV7ZQoc8-rZR8THKV2auFqqezziwaMp9GbxJHGm-T_jouRWwe-4qEOG_a7Fg7XL6UCyRGs0rMsIZW7GDW9uuwF6dFkX1039LJLzGMaEUhuy7CVHDntfcw7fcqSwRaoPp4J_-eaaBPiBriV9T6-KYT8ge8BFCpw.BjYOKXevyFtGpJaBTtPLz3bydo1ASdbsyVXiKQ2j89Q&dib_tag=se&keywords=enbrighten%2Bwall%2Bdimmer%2Blight%2Bswitches&qid=1705792709&sprefix=enbrighten%2Bwall%2Bdimmer%2Blight%2Bswitchs%2Caps%2C113&sr=8-6&th=1

You can get a board whit a esp32 + relay and a power supply on one small board.

Thanks for the info. Can you give us the name of this board and the name of the site where you can purchase it? I know you can't leave links here on you tube, but that info would help. I have seen other boards like the one your talking about but most only have just powerful enough power converters to run the components they have on the board. For example, if you wanted to add say a LD2410C and a BH1750 sensors to it, the power adapter wouldn't be able to handle it. Plus on most of those boards they don't have a UART on them meaning you have to have a serial adapter to flash them. Not a big deal really, although most developers have those, but just a little added complexity and cost.

Oh forgot this point, most of those boards don't breakout the I/O pins so you can't add other sensors to them like the development boards do. That's a big one for us developers

If anyone has questions about any of my videos, or needs help with anything i now have a discord channel available for that at discord.gg/9EkA5rFyCE Also the reason i haven't been making any new videos lately is myself and my family have had covid and it has hit us hard. We are on the mends through and hope to be making more videos soon.
