Thanks for taking such a wonderful video, I want to share it with more people. VEYMAX is definitely a trustworthy brand because I also purchased a veymax electric skateboard and was very satisfied.

I love electric skateboards and I love your channel brother! Ok, and your red TSG helmet too...
Thank you for all this extensive and time consuming work you are doing to help the rest of us with all the information you provide. I truly appreciate and value your insight. I can't think of anyone else who regularly asks, what are these boards true limits. With actual test in the hardest conditions most of us would never ride in. I don't even think my body has the capability to survive hypothermia in the conditions you ride in. I'm down here in Georgia. Zero snow and zero elevation. Never having really regen braked at all and am intrigued by it. From a dead battery once at the top, how much of the batter were you able to recharge going back down the same distance?
Thank you for the quality you finish these videos with. The views are spectacular and take my breath away, in all your videos. You always play music I enjoy and that isn't obnoxious. The context you ultimately decide to share is invaluable.
Thank you brother, you and Kami Junis are my two favorite esk8 channels.

Wow! Thank you for the post!!! This really means a lot as I put a lot of passion into edits and videos beyond just the information! ALSO to be even mentioned in the same sentence as Kami Junis is awesome as his videos are my favorite ones and initially inspired me to make skate videos.

The incredible view you got there, I just recently received my Veymax Roadster X4S, the board is a beast. Let's see how long will my battery last.

It's a Samsung battery pack so should be around 1500 - 2000 miles. Or at least that's what others have gotten

It’s an incredible board. I looked at the price and it was only $429 and thought how fun it would be to have a board like this.

    • @COYOTEEXILE
      @COYOTEEXILE  8 місяців тому

Yea, seems like the battery would almost cost that much. If you have smooth roads it's solid. Maybe a few bumps is okay. Be sure to tighten the trucks on these, they seem to come out of the box with zero resistance.

I ended up winning a veymax x4 at esk8con. It’s not the s version just the regular s4 but I found it to be a really great board for the price deck power and speed comfortable wheels with nice carving and stable trucks. Right out of the box I had to do noting mine was already charged and ready to ride. I haven’t tested mine on any hills yet, but the board feels powerful enough to make it up a good incline.

@Brennen_Nisporic awesome! What a great prize to get! I think you'll definitely get solid performance and carving adventures on the S4. The deck is a really great size and flex like a snowboard.

This is supposedly using the new Ling-Yi LY-FOC 8.0 ESC.
Peculiarly though, the X4 and the X4S do not use the same LY-FOC 8.0 ESC. The cheaper X4 model, has a 12s ESC and the more expensive is a 10s ESC. This seems backwards to me. The X4 would have been just fine with the 10s ESC. The X4S, with it's larger tires asking for more power. The extra power would have benefited the X4S significantly more than it benefits the X4. Put the same wheels on both boards and the X4 would be quicker than the X4S off the line and top speed. It can simply send more volts and amps to the wheels than a 10s ESC can.
If you're wanting to buy one of these. My advice is to go for the X4 and buy their blue or black X4S wheels separately.
If you buy an X4S, my advice would be to downgrade to 90 polyurethane wheels. Ling-Yi 10s ESC's are absolutely perfect for 90mm wheels, they're so much zipper and aggressive compared to Hobbywing ESC's, the other alternative they could have gone with but thankfully didn't.
The ESC enclosure is the coolest attempt at something different I've seen in a while. Nicely done Veymax! I really like it, a lot!
I also think I would absolutely love riding this deck. It looks super comfortable and is a shape I prefer significantly more than the traditional vanguard shape that almost ALL other budget boards use.
So far, I really like this company. They came out hitting pretty hard in the budget market. They have a spare parts page and never buy a board from a company who doesn't. I'm excited for this company, for what they'll bring us next.
Thanks for proving it's not garbage brother!

Thank you for the great comment! I think this will really help a lot people make the right decision on which version to purchase! Totally agree a more powerful esc would greatly benefit this board with the tire/wheel combination as it was lacking some power getting up the mountain compared to a lot of other boards! At least it made it though... eventually which is more than my Acedeck Stella S1 did up the mountain which ripped up it but only made it 75% of way.

@@COYOTEEXILE You can definitely expect more comments from me creating the content you are. I'm in pretty deep when it comes to electric skateboards. And you're pretty much feeding me crack on a regular basis. I truly love your videos and they often play in the background of my home life. It was all on my Roku TV for the longest, I finally followed you on my phone now as well so I can comment and encourage you to keep feeding me more crack on a regular basis.
Okay, when this video started. And I have looked at the Veymax X4's multiple times and almost bought it once, impressed by their ESC and baffled by their deployments. I was like no way, NO WAY is my man making it to the top, I thought, maybe a quarter way up at 12mph, MAX. Then the battery so dead it needed warrantied. Again, I cannot iterate enough how impressive and legendary Ling-Yi 10s ESC's are. Look at this proof! Even handicapped with 105mm wheels, even given everything @TTLBALLER could throw at it (A Frozen Mountain!?). 18ish Mph most of the way!? I keep looking over at my two my two Ling-Yi 10s ESC boards and smiling at them by what this video just proved to me and what I know of them. While simultaneously looking over at my 14s Hobbywing ESC board and I am dissatisfied in its performance compared to the much much cheaper 10s setups. Only because I didn't know the difference before.
This could be read as a negative comment against Hobbywing that I don't want to make and would like to clear up. We are very fortunate as people who buy esk8s to have two VERY established companies putting out different products. There is a need for both to exist. If you're new to esk8 or want to get an esk8 for your child. You should not get a Ling-Yi ESC, you will hurt yourself, your child or someone else. I ride my Hobbywing board ALL the time. It's so buttery smooth and soft, in acceleration and in braking and it's still zippy enough to be fun. You will get more range with a Hobbywing ESC because it will never really give you 100%. Ling-Yi will give you 110% and you can ride it very aggressively. Draining your battery quicker of course, lowering your range. Full throttle on Hobbywing vs Ling-Yi is the difference between a small four car gas saving sedan and a sports car. I enjoy both thoroughly. Just make sure you start off with a Hobbywing potential future member of our community reading this random comment on this very nice gentleman's channel.
Hobbywing also has the best looking remotes right now. I'm pretty sure the Lorentz remote is from Hobbywing, it looks too similar to the Backfire Halo Hobbywing remote, not to be. So expect more of these slick Hobbywing CNC remotes from every vendor who uses Hobbywing ESC's popping up this year. My favorite feature, is the actual battery left remaining in a numerical percentage, for my board and my remote, on one screen, one the remote. I like to stop charging around 80-90%, and never drain below 20%. That's a total guesstimated mystery on my two other boards, with their 4 bar battery level indicators. That knowledge alone, in my hand, was surprisingly worth the astronomical price of the remote. I still prefer the feel of the finger hole style remotes best. I enjoy spinning it around like a gunslinger while going 32mph down the street. Now I look all nice and innocent with this Halo remote :/ but I'm not, don't you believe it.
Thank you for the thoughtful reply. Thank you for putting yourself in harms way and through these intolerable conditions to push these boards to their limits. I'm skinnier than you and have Georgia blood. I would have frozen to death, 30 seconds up that mountain, no joke, rock solid pop sickle. But Ugh, it's SO beautiful and it's the whole experience you provide. A calm and soothing voice, my favorite topic electric skateboards, gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous scenery and good music. I'm pretty sure you made this channel just for me. Certainly feels like it. I truly appreciate it and all the work it takes to get the videos up.
I would say let's be friends but you have in your possession currently something I refer to as Nixie. It's the name of a lightly caffeinated sparkling black tea I love. Which is what I think of when these four letters are arranged like this; Nyx Z. It's the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen. I'm currently contemplating robbing a bank to afford one. So I simply cannot be trusted. It's not you, every Nixie owner is a risk. A man does crazy things for love. And I would lie, cheat and steal for her... and that's even despite the deeply concerning amount of Acedeck trucks you've paperweighted. That thing is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my entire life. Which was the 1st video of yours I watched. And I am so grateful that you keep taking her out for me, to all the beautiful and scenic spots, for long nights out on the town, for fresh air and exhilarating thrills, all the things she needs. You know, until she's mine... and that little red TSG helmet too, Haha!
Apologies for the long windedness. People tell me I should be a writer. I should probably stop writing...
      Probably

Hello C4M3120N, thank you for your detailed and insightful response. You possess extensive experience in the field of electric skateboarding. I also want to express my gratitude for your support and loyalty towards the Veymax brand. Your almost order serves as a testament to our efforts being recognized by the community, which further motivates us to contribute back.
Regarding your comment on the standard and premium versions of our Roadster X4, there seems to be a misunderstanding. Both models share the same ESC system, with the primary distinction lying in their respective battery capacities. Allow me to clarify this point with you.
I have also noticed your mention of 12s and 10s values. These figures represent the battery configurations employed in both x4 models. The standard version utilises a 12s arrangement consisting of smaller individual cells. On the other hand, x4S adopts a 10s configuration which may appear numerically inferior but actually features larger single cells, thereby providing enhanced battery life.
I hope this response addresses your concerns and clarifies any misconceptions. Once again, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback, and I eagerly await your next comment!

First off, sorry for not responding. I just saw this comment when Veymax responded to you. Normally I get a notification of comments and like to respond to all comments. Love the message and information your sharing! It's very informative and way above my knowledge for sure! It's great for me to learn more about these products from experts like yourself! I just ride them... I have to agree with the hobbywing having the best remotes! They are super slick and the esc is smooth on those boards. Acedeck is basically fully on or off it seems and scares the shit out of me at times! However they make such beautiful and amazing riding boards that I can't get enough of them! It's a bit of a love hate relationship. Anyways I just wanted to say thank you for the comment again and hope to see you back here again sharing your thoughts. O and yep the TSG helmet is the bomb.com 😎
