For a long time I thought Anthony Warlow had the best version of this, and Josh Groban's was horrible; I now think that Karimloo usurped Warlow's reign. Excellent version!
John Owen-Jone's version was nice, but I think I prefer this stripped down version. Still, that last note was phenomenal! Thanks for reccomending it to me, I enjoyed it.

That violin is annoying the **** out of me. This song only needs a heartfelt vocal, no fancy trimmings. I adore Ramin, but so many of the YT posts of him singing the songs I most want to hear him do just miss the mark, despite his performance (well, the blame IS his in the Empty Chairs one with Hadley Fraser. I want to knock their heads together for corpsing, their singing was so beautiful until then. Annoyingly, I still can't help laughing too.) Songs I've never cared about, he does wonderfully!

I have listened to many versions of this song recently, but that one is absolutely stunning!
This must mean alot to him considering his family left Iran when he was a baby. He still loves his country, but he can't go back.
If he left the country as a baby I doubt he misses Iran at all.

Unique and interesting arrangement, I like it! The simple guitar works as well as a full choir somehow, it seems more intimate really.

The arrangement is supposed to be Broadway meets Bluegrass... which this does. It sounds even better when you're in the same room as him.
