And Judas absolutely steals the show, as he is supposed to the way it was originally written! So, give Judas his due, and yes-Karim. You should definitely consider it.

loved this since JCS in 1996 with another great singer Steve Balsamo as Jesus. This is just amazing.
The 1996 London cast recording is my favorite version of JCS! Zubin and Steve are the best Judas and Jesus, hands down.
And Joanna Ampil as Mary Magdalene.

@@Nensi014 I don't think so, on the contrary, but it's the matter of what you prefer I think...I love the idea of the reconstruction and the hippie vibe And also singers/actors are so on spot...I saw many version, but the movie with Ted Neeley is the best, in my opinion...which one do you prefer?
@@Parmen128, Ted has a very weak shrill voice and inexpressive playing, he looks more like a faun from Narnia than Jesus. I love the original version on vinyl with Ian Gillan.
@@Nensi014 Ian Gillen was also very good, but we must have seen very different Ted....I love his voice and the heights and inexpressive? Maybe it's not the flod of mimic motions, but it doesn't matter the expression is not there, ...And it's his singing, his voice, where you can mainly feel the emotions... but like I said, it's the matter of preference and the feeling
