- ***For the descaling process in Mini Me, I made an honest mistake. You have to put the lever to the blue or cold function after it stops during the first descaling process. In the video, you will see I removed the remaining solution because I thought the descaling was done already. But I still successfully descaled the Mini Me after that and it automatically returns to normal mode.

I found the process takes an age making you think you’ve done something wrong or it’s not working correctly BUT it is (my model is the DeLonghi Genio S Plus 2022 model - not the Krupps Genio S Plus version like yours = so this could be why the process was a little different).

This takes an age - I kept making sure the tank at the back always had water after descaling once it starting rinsing the whole entire process takes an age ! at least 20 min

Nope 😢 mine says it needs descaling but doesn't go through any of this process & still has the orange light .. and it's my second machine as no.1 never cleared the orange light

Sorry if this sounds dumb but the second lot of water you refill the tank with has no descaling liquid its just water so it can rinse the machine out? I'm about to do my one for the first time and want to get this right 😅 thankyou!
Hi that was my question at first too! But YES you are right. The second water refill is just water no descaling liquid this is to rinse the machine. Tip when descaling, just add water when you see no more water in the tank and the machine stops because sometimes the refill is not enough for one rinse and simply press or start again if the button still blinks. (You might think the machine is stuck but it happened to me like twice) It’s easy you can do it!

I have descale my coffee ☕ machine but the orange still keep on flashing
I have used the whole bottle of the descaling solutions

You might still have to rinse it after. Select descale mode again and put full water in the water tank. It might rinse and do the same process again. Wait until the whole water from the tank is finished or until the orange light stops flashing
Mine has been orange for awhile and i have not done it yet lol
I declared my Dolce Gusto Genio s plus put the light won't go off I did it a few times
How turn off genio s plus? Is automatic turn off?
Yes it will automatically turn off after 1 min of inactivity
