@dancampbell357 Thanks Dan, stay tuned for an updated video on Tim's crankbaits in the next few weeks. We will have some on the water footage and some more stuff from in the shop.
@iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa Most modern cranks are made of durable plastic. I know that Rapala makes several suspending/ floating minnows that are balsa. Wooden lures have a unique rattle to them that you just can't replicate with the newer plastics. Wooden lures are certainly still around although you may have to search for them at times.
anyone know what brand of airbrush hes using? Im not in competition with him but I like his finished product id like to get me one for use in my soft plastics production.. trying new things in soft plastic!
looks like he is using a paasche vl1 or 2. It is best to get the dual action. One action is for air and the other is product. VL's are a workhorse and they last forever if you take of them. I have been using mine for about 6 years now.
Could you tell me what kind of material you are using.. kinda hard to know what everything is called here in Sweden :) Oh and what kind of wood are you using? Ceder? or Maple?
Or, "This righ cheer's whut's gonna be gittin the fish out that lake and inta yer boat." So, who cares? I get it. The guy is great. I'd love to go down there and drink a few beers with him. Obviously, he'd give you the shirt off his back if you asked him. He'd probably see you needed it and give it without you asking anyway. So...chill.
You are correct! Tim is my brother in law and you won't find many better than him. He's been doing this for a long time and it has evolved over time. Everyone hung up on the sealer. Its trial and error and he's worked with 2 part epoxy's as well as polyurethane. It's up to him to release that information and it could be a contractual thing. I sell them and don't know what he uses. He just laughs when I ask.

I was just sitting here imagining what you could do with a good airbrush. Those look phenomenal. Nice job.
Great video guys. I've bought Tim's lures in the past and I highly recommend them. They're unique and none of your buddies will have one.
Hey,
I wrote Tim and asked him a few questions, the guy was first class all the way.
I boughts three of his lures, very nice crankbait.

Nvm they are lacquer based!! That's how they dry fast.
Acrylics. There is another super fast clear drying sealer called "Deft" that works great.
The paint is lacquer based so I would assume the sealer is as well!
What did he pit
5:50 it sort of looks like a fall fish if anyone knows what that is they are a bait fish that grows up to 15in
What does he do about the bills? Does he make his own bills with hard plastic or does he buy them?
Unable to post link.
He is sealing his baits in propianate pellets and acetone
Where can his baits be purchased?
+Workman Jj burchstackleshop.com or email Matt at info@burchstackleshop.com. Check us out on Facebook at Buck Creek Lures.
Ant way to get my hands on a few? Anyone o can talk to? Thanks!
How did that paint dry so fast?!!
Lacquer based paint melts into each other. The shadow effects are very light and therefore almost dry instantly.
Great video.. u got my sub.. great work
Why they all sound like Larry the Cable Guy. The whole time I was waiting for him to say GET R DONE. He will sell more lures if he starts to say it.
