I personally know Art and hes a great guy and at 93 now you would never know he was that age. I was just talking to him today as a matter of fact. He deffinatly has the best baits ever made and ive fished them since i was a kid and will continue to use them until im no longer fishing!
That duplicator was awesome never seen a lathe style one very smart and looks homemade u def could learn something from that. i just love seeing the old ways of lure making and never thought there would be so many steps def give props to the balsa makers still out there.
These lures are fantastic. Not only do they catch fish, but look at all the love and care that goes into them. Even if you haven't used one, after watching this video, I don't know how anyone could resist getting one for their tackle box. I run the 675 and 00. Silver Black back, most use these sizes for musky but I've found they're awesome for striper trolling. Thanks!

The best top water lure I have ever used. I "ve lost count on the number of bass taken on this lure. I always use the #375 black and silver. I met Art years ago on Bullskin Creek off the Ohio river. I'll be ordering more lures very soon.
Recently got into fishing in my mid 30s after a 20 year break. Found AC shiners by chance the ac300 and its been a blast. Inherited an old tackle box from a family member that hadn't been opened in 30 years and low and behold it had a couple AC 300s in in, identical to the one I'm using now. Great lure and after watching this video I feel even better about using them.
I have my Grandpa's tackle box who passed away ~20 years ago and it is full of AC Shiners. Some still in the box, others have been hit so many times you can barely tell what color it was new. Also, Thank you for opening the website, before then I would have to wait until traveling back through the area to find a tackle shop that carried AC Shiners.
When i was a kid my father would take me to winton woods lake. It is a small park lake in Cinn OH where you could rent a boat. That is where my father and i met Art. They were fantastic lures then and still are today. I have a couple 00 on the way plan on bustin some of these Texas with them.
The ac shiners are the best baits I have ever used the black back, for large and small mouth bass. Plus they are great qaulity, I have one thats still in use for 30 years.
Tried to purchase a couple of lures. My money went through Pay pal but no acknowledgement from AC Shiner and now can not access my account. Hope this is just a mistake.

I have one AC Shiner and didn't know what it was until now. I thought it was an old hand tuned rapala before they stamped the name on the bill.
Setting record straight. Lures have been shipped, Anticipating having fun introducing salt water fish to Midwestern lures. Thanks Susan.

Anybody knows what kind of plastic is he using at the dipping process of the lures?
Radu Toderean would possibly be a UV stable polyurethane.
These are cheaper than some of the Chinese plastic big name baits and there made in America ..im gonna order a couple sizes to try out
