The kid at the end deserves the hype up for the high A like, holy cow! The blue devils piccolo trumpets this year had difficulty hitting the high F most of their season, and for a highschooler to do it is incredible, amazing performance 10/10❤
I'm noticing how many ballads today rely on a soloist/duet/trio/quartet doing most of the work and the rest of the band just comes in with block chords or simple rhythms. Its not a majority or anything, but definitely much more than say before Covid
Yeah now that you mention it, I haven't seen many schools besides my own and Westlake (for the second half at least) whose ballad didn't revolve around soloists. Kinda weird, still a great ballad tho

It’s not a breeze to play high notes on but easier in the sense of note accuracy and tuning. I don’t own one myself due to price and my desire for other instruments like British cornets and flugelhorns, but I have played on pics at multiple occasions. I won’t argue with you because like you said, you own one, but I’ve had different experiences with them where playing higher isn’t necessarily easier, for me at least.
These kids are mostly straight A students with AP classes. Can you accomplished the same about yourself? Can you play an instrument? Practice daily with no time to study And yet maintain straight A with classes such as AP physics?? These are kids were taught by their directors. They don’t come up with the idea of the show. Think before you open your mouth. If you’re an adult, you should be ashamed of yourself. If you’re a child, who are your parents? Are they highly educated and hold a high degree? Obviously not, because if they are , you would have spoken better words to others This is why this world is crazy, especially in the western world, children aren’t taught to respect others. Their parents are too busy running the streets
How can you open your mouth and speak these words to these kids? They didn’t steal anything. They’re performing what they were taught by their directors. Most of these kids are top of the class. They took AP classes and were straight A students. Can you accomplished what they have accomplished? They barely have time to study and maintain straight A with AP classes such as AP Physics. They’re the best of the best and were structured and disciplined. Pause and think before you open your mouth. If you’re an adult then shame on you. If you’re a child then go back and learn some manners
