- The Tile Mate 2022 has all the features of a great item tracker, but you have to pay for most of the good ones... You also can't change the battery yourself. I would recommend just going with the Apple Air Tags instead if you are an IOS user.

Recall the fact that airtags only work with iphones and suddenly all of the issues stated don't really matter anymore

nice. what do u recommend for android users that would serve well as a pet tracker, say on a 300 acre farm. i wanna keep closer tabs on my dogs roaming the farm. but im not an apple user at all. thanks for any advice.
Basically nothing is going to do this the way you want it to. You can either get a GPS tracker that has to be charged regularly or something like a Tile that lasts for months but only looks for nearby devices running the Tile app, which just gets you down to an area a few hundred feet across.

Everyone sells your info to third parties. If you don't want that happening, stop using modern devices or move to a country with data privacy laws.
