The story is semi-based on real story. Jimmy, the drummer, began writing the song as a healing process after he got caught shoplifting and his grandmother died and he wasn't able to be there. He wrote the chorus and one of the versus, but Matt (the singer) ended up finishing the lyrics, and Brian and Zacky finished writing the song together. The video was about staying true to the economic struggles of American people during the mid-2000 recession***, but the director wanted to make it like Guns N' Roses' November Rain, so they came up with the concept of losing a girlfriend/wife after being in prison. The little boy is Matt's nephew. The blonde is Matt's real-life wife and girlfriend since 6th grade, Valary Dibenedetto. I think they've been together for almost 30 years now and have two children. Bryan, the lead guitarist, is Matt's brother in law, as he ended up marrying Valery's twin, Michele Dibenedetto. Avenged Sevenfold are unique in that they are all life long friends and are completely a family affair. If you want to react to something unique, disturbingly funny, and weird by them, then do "A Little Piece of Heaven," the music video, but give a proshot live version a shot afterwards. Two other songs y'all would be interested in are "The Stage" and "Exist." They are the opening and closing songs on the stage album, respectively. You cannot confine them to a label, and no 2 albums sound the same, but they have their own unique identifying sound.

If you want another mellow song from Avenged Sevenfold, I would recommend "So far away". The song is about their drummer, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan who sadly passed away in 2009. RIP The Rev \m/
I would also recommend the song "Afterlife" by Avenged Sevenfold, if you want something a little more heavy and what they usually sound like. It's one of my favorite songs by them.

Great reaction. I love A7X. Some of their songs came with deep lyrics in the aftermath of the death of their friend and drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. The song "So far away" is a tribute to him, and "Nightmare" and "Save me" is telling more about how the rest of the band experienced the death. And then there is "Fiction", the song that was a last goodbye to the band, in which we can hear Jimmy himself sing along with M.Shadows. All these songs brings more sadness to the death of Jimmy.
The guitarist is Synyster Gates and he’s an amazing guitarist. The woman in the video is actually the singers wife in real life 👍🏻

The music video isn't based on a real story, but it sure is compelling. The woman in the video is Valary, the singer M. Shadows' wife and the band's original tour manager/merch girl. She was his girlfriend at the time. The guitarist with the striped axe is Synyster Gates, the left-handed guitarist is Zacky Vengeance, the bassist is Johnny Christ, and the drummer was The Rev. The Rev passed away in 2009 about 3 days after Christmas, unfortunately.
And they actually have two sons together
You should absolutely check out a lyric video for Beast and the Harlot (the music video has the best parts cut out), or an unofficial lyric video for Buried Alive (the official lyric video is censored). Those 2 songs are more of what you're expecting, most likely, and I feel you'll probably love them.
