This is Valerie. We did her tour of Prague castle on 2020-05-06 (she works through 100 Spires City Tours). She is the consummate tour guide. Friendly, thoughtful about her guests, intensely knowlegable, and honest about when she doesn't know the answer. On this subject and the others she discusses she is honest, reliable, and informative. Most UA-cam destination videos are poor quality and weak on material. She is an exception and sets a standard.
Vyšehrad is the essence of Prague for locals. It has quite a history (it was inhabited since like 3000 BC, and it is a castle since 10th century), amazing medival architecture, filled with legends (my favorite is about Horymir and his horse Semik). Cemetery where you can find quite a lot "celebrities" from last 200 years (even conteporary TV stars, scientists etc.). You can see the whole Prague from there. But it is also a place with beautiful parks, coffeshops, pubs, kid's playgrounds. There is quite a lot joggers, or just ppl reading books in the grass, or having a picnic. There are concerts, theater plays etc. It is truly concentrated essence of Prague, with close to none tourist's attractions as we see in city center.
I have been watching all of your videos the last couple of weeks and I am so happy I have. You are incredible! Funny, informative and to the point. Just excellent. Please keep doing what you are doing. Btw it would be great to see a video of the different parks around park 😊
Really like the sense of humour ❤ and good insight into efforts to create alternative culture... Nothing new under the sun, heh... Overall, I feel I will need a month to really see all the important places in Prague... 😅
Dear Valérie, as always, excellently. Imposing. I really like your walks through Prague. Vyšehrad is beautiful. And at the same time, the legend about Princess Libuše is very nice to hear. Also the cemetery of the famous. Thank you for the perfect information and very nice comment on everything. Bravo. 👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥😘
Excellent video! We just came back from visiting Prague a few days ago. We watched many of your videos to prepare for our trip. They are amazing. We visited Vyshedrad on the last day and we were wondering why there were no videos about that site because we truly enjoyed it. I opened my UA-cam feed yesterday and what pops in is your video on Vysehrad. We did miss a few things during our visit! We visited the cathedral and it was well worth it! The church is painted in Art Nouveau style which resembles Mucha's art. It is really beaufitul! Thank you for videos. They are truly helpful and so pleasant to watch!

We had a great time visiting your beautiful country! Vysehrad was one of my favorites. Great views of the Vltava river and more. We need to go back again to where the water is more expensive than Pivo (Beer). 🤙
I've visited Prague and it's truly amazing . But this church and especially it's cemetery have a special place in my heart. I remember the day that I visited , it was dark, gloomy and rainy and for me... that's the perfect mood and vibe . I really miss this place. Thank you for your videos cos after watching them, I knew what I've wanted to see in Prague and based my visit while there. ❤
Fun fact - Popelka Is Cinderella. But She named Popelková-Bilianova, Popelka Bilianova Is only pseudonym. Like Young boy, i love his books about Prague Legends And maybe i Escape from home to see Headless templar knight . I believe to this ghost 😃
I am so going there. We freaking forgot about it when we were there!!! Went past it several times on the way to our botel!!! But I am going back, alone this time because she doesn't want to and I do and I am the "Czech-ish" one-- a Pijaček. Cheers!
yes, maybe someday I may come to Pragu and revalidate tour stort, haha just kidding, thank you madam I'm learning a lot about the Czech Republic because of you. kudos...❤☮
Arrowhead fortifications based on structures of more than 4 sides (5 here with a couple of fore-bastions added) were developed when cannons and guns became more refined and powerful. They gave better overlapping fields of fire than square or round towered structures. And the lower profile was harder to damage.

Amazing video....Is there any entry fee to visit this place ?
I lost you! I didn't know how to find you! Now I have found you again. I have subscribed again. You are informative, comical and wonderful! 💞
Very informative and well-organized video. Humor stands out--those throw-away one-liners are great.
Just back from Prague, got to spend a little time here, but only got to see the cemetery really. Guess I have to go back to see the rest.
Hi nice that you made a video on Vysehrad. Is it free to enter Vysehrad?
I watch you for few years …?you are gooooooood, & you are not even Czech 😂
I'll see you guys in September!
Thank you!!!
Where's that butiful blonde hair
Thanks!
It is a pentagon with a fat tail at one corner. If you tilt your head. LOL

@@theoztreecrasher2647 Terezín and Josefov are great examples of those type of fortress. Vyšehrad is small, limited by terrain.

one of my favorite places in Prague :))
So many cool places like the Leopold Gate that were used in filming Amadeus (my favorite movie). Those places would be a great theme for a video!
Coming to Prague tonight. Will Hopefully meet the trio.. 🙂🙂
