Okay you are sponsored for this video and even though this phone will never be in my pocket but im happy you get money for doing this and i support your videocontent.
He is sponsored but he is making a legit test tbh, no editing or cutting the video. For that price point this phone is a steal tbh. Glad that some flagship features are included in the mid range phones today.
@gezimislamaj5309 I'm not complaining haha 😂 i love Ben's reviews and i know that he is a legit reviewer who wouldn't take a sponsordeal if he didn't believe in it
@@nathanvrvrt every reviewer is paid by these companies btw, that's how they generate their incomes and it's totally fine until some of them (Apple fans mostly) start saying stupid rubbish things. But good that mid rangers nowdays are becoming better and better.
I think you can switch the adverts off in yhe settings. surely the OnePlus Nord 4 would be better choices in the UK its just a little bit more in price
Great, detailed video.I'm really hoping that you do a full review of this phone, particularly as it seems to have flagship-quality specs,at a low price.
The downgrade for the global version is alarming, the two important aspect of the smartphone has been devilishly downgraded by Xiaomi/Redmi: 1. The Battery from 6200mAh downgraded to 5100mAh for the global version 2. 50 MP telephoto downgraded to unuseable 8 MP micro camera for the global version.
@@bensgadgetreviewsI don't like them either. Hard to find tempered glass that fits them properly. Some have darkening also at the top of the screen where it curves into the frame
Agreed, I had a Pixel 7 Pro and it's curved screen is one of the thing I did not like from that phone. Now it's screen is broken, guess what, there is no screen replacement
Is it also scratch resistant at the back of the phone? Would there be a full review coming soon? If there is can you highlight more about the AI features? Thank you
drop and water test are impressive, the scratch one not so much, a coin is by nature something that got erroded with time and will have very smooth edges, if you want to scratch you need something pointy (or with sharp edges)
I think the test is relevant to many people, as they will likely put their phone and loose change in their pocket, and they are unlikely to have a knife in their pocket.
The worst part when I drop my phone or any other phone on the street have a little stones always crack. Note 14 pro + looks great and strong. I would like to see more outdoor street with irregular street with little stones.
@@pwelele I don't think note series will have Ultra variants, unless it's news which is hidden. Moreover, there won't be 14 promax ultra plus 🙂. In case there will be. I'm waiting for it.
In newer phones midrange to premium every single lens peotection is scratch ressistant. I have mi 9t, redmi k40 pro, than k60 and now i took this Redmi note 14 pro plus asia version with bigger battery and all this phones dont have a single scratch on camera lenses.
I always cringe when I see people abusing their devices, I understand why but maybe it's because I am watching this looking for my next device to replace my RealMe X2 Pro which I've loved for the last 4 years and NEVER dropped. This looks like a contender but Man I wish they would include the headphone jack. Happy to see the power brick & cable included.
Shouldn't this be price cheaper since these phones are being tested to drop at such way, I mean we don't know if the seller might have performed multiple drop test and still sell us the premier price

@@bensgadgetreviews are you in Thailand Ben? The condo looks like it. If so...Dinner is on me in Hua Hin or the next time I'm in Bangkok. Hope you're well ♥️🙏
As good as the water resistance is, am I the only one who refuses to use my phone in the rain, underwater, or in the shower? I see it as protection if I am unlucky enough to drop it in water, not as a feature to use, as the IP rating website says that resistance decreases with time and exposure to water.
It's actually €500/$515 for the 8gb 256gb base variant. That's very expensive for the specs and only 8gb ram. It was also this price last year. I think you need to do a bit more research on prices as I've seen a similar trend on quite a few videos where you vastly underestimate the price or maybe don't comment on prices if you have no idea
Xiaomi really disappointed me why give us (global market) an 8mpx ultrawide and 2mpx macro instead of 50 mpx telephoto and 12 mpx ultrawide like Indian and China's or is it just because of the weird 200 mpx main camera which is not comparable to the S24 ultra's
@@a1000island maybe.. i'll wait for prices to drop on the latest poco and redmi phones.. its quite funny though that they finally addressed the lack of water protection on their budget devices
That drop test was brutal! I respect that lol
Floss!! Thanks for watching man

Nice to see you channeling your inner Jerry rig everything😂😂
The test, water and chilli oil 😵💫
Seems like a trend for 2025 phones - IP69 + strong sensitivity.
For the price it's a good smartphone, the photos are good, yes they're not as good as a Xiaomi flagship but it takes good photos

Hi Ben, nice review like always! I've one question. When you are going to review honor magic 7pro? :(
I'm the only one who hates curved screen. Probably cause it's expensive to replace 😂. I don't mind something like the S23 Ultra's curved display tho.
The new Chinese flagships with just subtle quad curves the best way to go

I never tried one but they do look very nice and fancy

Why reduce the battery for global version??
Benrigeverything, is this a new channel? keep it up ben and thank you, best review so far
This is there in oneplus 13 as well right you could have shown this with that phn as well
Oneplus nord 4 too
If only considering durability and camera, will you go for Poco x7 pro or redmi note 14 pro+?
Awesome videos buddy but this one🫣👍🏻
India got the 50mp main 50mp telephoto 8mp ultra wide and 6200mah battery for about 383 US dollar

also i am not a fan of curved screens on phone. it looks cool but breaks easily.
Why did Xiaomi reduce the battery milliamp for the global version? The chinese version packs 6500mp of battery.

I think oneplus has been working towards that end

Concrete drop might turn out different but still good going.
4:37 that top right video though
If you want to test the screen properly you drop it on its edge or just chuck it from your hand a phone almost never falls flat when dropped
I chucked it on the last drop on marble I flicked it up
Swiping in that area in the s24u won't really move the screen. Do it in the middle.
