I found your channels a few weeks ago, seen pretty much all your videos and I really have to tell you that you are so brave, not only for moving to a new country but also leaving that "this is what it's supposed to be"-life behind. I dream about doing the same, but still within Sweden (to northern Dalarna to be more specific, where we have a cottage), and you are an inspiration! :)

Shopping: Shop local! We are moving to a bit south of Gävle, and we try to shop food locally. Many farms sell their produce from small farm shops. It helps the local farmers and you get produce you can see how it's produced. More expensive than large food industry foods, yes, but a lot of this is pretty eco-friendly. It's also a nice way to meet your local people.

The cool thing about small farms is, that they can often sell their fresh stuff for the same price as the stores, as they just skip a ton of dealers in the supply chain. Even exchange is sometimes possible. When i find the time to bake bread, i can exchange the bread for some fresh milk and eggs, fresh vegetables, honey, meat... You just need to go around and talk to the people ☺
Seit 2 Jahren bin ich schon an Schweden und Norwegen interessiert. Mittlerweile ist wirklich fast jeder Tag hier anstrengend. In Österreich ists ähnlich wie in Deutschland und unter 200.000€ bekommst nid mal ne kleine Wohnung😅. Danke dir so sehr für deine ehrlichen und umfangreichen Infos! Same as you, we were searching to find more useful info, a guide, if you like and didn't find anything. Well, up until now. Perhaps one more info could have gone in and that is the need of address before you can apply for personnummer? I guess it's pretty obvious but could be useful to some. That's also why renting an AirBnB is just an terminate, like time wise limited option. I'm Swedish but watched anyway! You are worth an Achievment Medal 🥉for everything you've done since moving here...!! It really all sounds totally exhausting and like a full-time job. 😵💫 We don't really have a problem with mosquitos here in the south, but instead there're lots of ticks. Småland where our cottage is = A Tick Stronghold, bloody awful. One summer day there my husband & I picked off about 70 - 80 ticks altogether from our rough collie's face.....😱 Wishing you all the best, /Ditte 🤓

What a honest video, full of love and experiences! Especially with the distrust if you are a stranger, you raised an important Thema. Sweden is a transparent country and you have a easy time to get information about someone. If it’s not possible to get informations about you, everything will be harder. At least in the north. It’s mainly important then, when you try to find a job, so it can be really really hard to find one and your chances raise more, if you are not anonym. Because of a working contract itself is there the possibility about a coordination number-so you are allowed to work and to get this number, you don’t need a contract ❤

@ the concept is, that you are not a stranger anymore. So then you are allowed to work Legal and receive payment. You are also allowed then to open a bank account. But it’s an restricted account, so you can’t use wish or create a Bank ID so far I know. It’s just to be able to get and send money in “normal” amounts. And of course you haven’t the benefits you have, if you have the real personal number.

Hey liebe Nane! Dankeschön erstmal 🥰 Um deine Frage zu beantworten: Davon habe ich tatsächlich noch gar nichts gehört. Wir waren beide definitiv abgemeldet und waren auch etwas ängstlich in dieser Grauzone der kranken-unversicherten zu sein 😅 Sobald man die Personnummer hat, ist man ja automatisch krankenversichert in Schweden. Vielleicht hängt dieser Nachweis eher mit dieser Samordningsnummer zusammen? Dir auch einen schönen 3. Advent! 🥰
Du kannst dir von der Versicherung das S1 Zertifikat ausstellen lassen, welches nachweist, dass du für mindestens ein weiteres Jahr in Deutschland krankenversichert bist. In der Regel wird das gefordert, weil du nicht "sofort" in das System aufgenommen wirst. Es ist allerdings ein zweischneidiges Schwert, denn zu einem bestimmten Moment kannst du einen Brief bekommen mit dem Inhalt "du bist hier nicht krankenversichert, weil du keine Doppelversicherung in der EU haben darfst", dann muss man wiederum den Nachweis erbringen, dass man die Versicherung in Deutschland gekündigt hat 😅 In aller Regel sollte man aber nicht einen einzigen Tag unversichert sein. Du kannst dich freiwillig gesetzlich krankenversichern, auch ohne Job o.ä., dich dann abmelden in DE und deiner Versicherung mitteilen, dass du eine neue Adresse im Ausland hast und deine Versicherung umgehend kündigen wirst, sobald du (für den Fall Schweden) deine neue Sozialsversicherungsnummer erhalten hast. Damit bist du definitiv immer versichert. Unversichert zu sein kann ein großes Risiko darstellen, gerade wenn man in ein anderes Land zieht. Man bekommt zu viel gezahlte Beiträge (der Zeitraum in dem man schon in Schweden versichert ist) aber wieder erstattet. Alles in allem ein nahtloser Übergang normalerweise

Yes, I agree 100%. That one is a quite challenging part for me, as I'm not in contact with any customers or colleagues. I'm learning, and I think I understand quite a lot, but I can't speak soooo much and get shy quite fast and then - of course - because Swedish people are extremely kind and really don't want to make anyone uncomfortable, they switch to English 😅❤ It's really sweet, but I know that it's my skills I need to improve, not the Swedish kindness towards strangers 😄🥰 I hope to be able to go to the SFI course next year 😊

Hej! Danke für den Kommentar, da hast du völlig Recht. Das wäre noch interessant gewesen. Ich versuche es kurz zu machen: eigentlich war es nicht viel und in unserem speziellen Fall etwas komplizierter als es hätte sein müssen, da wir ja nochmal offiziell von Berlin zu meinen Eltern umziehen mussten. Im Grunde muss man sich einfach nur offiziell bei der Behörde abmelden, wo man grade gemeldet ist. Das war's. Um Versicherungen, Bankkonten, irgendwelche Abos und Post etc. muss man sich halt selbst kümmern 😅 Zu gehen ist auf jeden Fall sehr viel einfacher als Anzukommen 😅😊

Paypal is a third party transfer service basically. Swish is direct transfer between 2 parties, regardless of banks.
