In retrospect in the initial scope diag if you had used voltage measurements would you have seen the low voltage issues ,it's a great diag and presentation I have learned a lot by following you
You accused yourself of being a "parts changer", but it is not true. You are NOT. Instead, you are a Parts Cannon Operator! Parts Cannon is a very important tool of mechanics and technicians. Parts Cannon Engineer! I nominate this video for Hollywood's Best Parts Cannon Awards! OK, no more jokes, back to business. Tell the customer that it is faulty COMPUTER design by Porshe. I am Computer Scientist, we were taught to design against such stupid idiotic side-effects. This tells me that engineers at Porsche do not know their basic Computer Science State Machine Design which is taught in introductory classes at schools. Customer should pay for buying such brand, or more precise for buying into such engineering. Nepotism in Engineering. It is only one silly extra line of code that will prevent this craziness: If (voltage < LowVoltageThreshold) do_not_set_error_scan_codes; and set_battery_voltage_too_low_warning;
Hi Dtech, I have the same problem, with getting the P025A00 code, my car is the 2013 VW touareg, with the 3.6 VR6. The thing is, I noticed that the low voltage occurring when I came to a stop where I am under braking and suddenly the engine went off, after which when i check with OBD the code appears. could this be due to the alternator issues? and do you know how could i check the health of the alternator? thanks!
Been a mechanic for 45 years and work a transit company where Natural gas on coaches started. I have had this happen to me and other mechanics at work. If the voltage is low even .5 volts, it will cause the low pressure regulator to give the incorrect fuel flow and cause a low power and surge. Years ago on the second series of Cummings L10 natural gas engine. One of the other mechanics was testing for engine cutting out under load. They have Allison automatics and we can steal test them in the shop. He had been working on it most of the shift. I noticed he had the jump start batteries hooked up. Asked him why and he said the main batteries were low and didn't crank the engine over. Could smell the sulfated batteries. Shut off the battery disconnect and the issue went away. The batteries were so bad that it was robbing the voltage from the rest of the system. New set of batteries fixed the issue. This is the second video i have watched of yours and you understand and use the your equipment well.
Thanks for sharing your experiences, those sounded like some headache ones as well. I thank you for the support and feel free to explore more of the content as it is informative. Thank you for watching
@@DTEAuto I would be careful using those handheld battery condition meters. They use a mathematical equation to give a reading not an actual load test. The ohms on the system stays the same, as voltage drops it shows the amperage go up, as per ohms law. If you use a carbon pile with a Amp lead and have them both hooked to the battery and pull half of the CCA of the battery, you will see the difference. They are good for a quick general reference. I use a halogen head light with jumper leads hooked to both beams and leave it on with ignition off for 15 minutes to take the surface charge off before testing. A sealed battery is harder to test without being able to take a specific acid weight test.
It's good as finally issue was resolved. I have worked in porsche plenty of times & believe me so many times I have struck with same situation as you were, as everything looks normal but there will be intermittent fault. Thanks for upload
Nice one sadel. A quick question here. Are you going to return the pump and the module back to the seller. If No, who takes care of the cost, the shop or the car owner. I also sent you an email based on our last conversation. Thanks

The three phase valvetronic motor test was a good load test on this system. great thinking man thanks for sharing.

this car should have a battery test of itself a lot better , what are we paying for? wonderfull dianose video,
Very good Video - You made it to the End....I would still like to know where this annormally on the third Channel came from.

Not everyone is privileged enough to operate the Cannon. Thanks for the nomination from an amazing computer scientist
muy buebos los videos gracias por tomarse el tiempo de enseñar ,,,,bendiciones

best easy way is to check with a meter or a scan tool

Excellent explanation of the fuel pump testing, Sadel. A++ as always!

great video , i suppose we should always test battery when facing any fault codes with these modern systems , thanks

I ended up paying for the pump and module, customer was only responsible for what the true problem was, which was battery and diagnostics
Besides the CEL and codes, are there any drivability symptoms?
No drivability issues at all, just the light every so often
Another great one for the book of knowledge. Thanks a lot again Sadel.
glad you thought so and thank you for watching

Yes, seems that it is very important to test the batteries when dealing with any electrical issues.
