you can also tell by the spots on the back (crome coho bigger fewer spots, crome kings more smaller spots). also a small spike gaff is nice for unhooking so you dont have to deal with the net!
I love your videos! I'm moving out to Cali in December and just bought a zodiac off a guy without the title here in Washington, is it hard to register something like that in Cali? I do have the bill of sale...
You have me hooked on king salmon now! Going to work on getting the anchovy hood and get some all ready for lake Michigan in September early October as they are starting to stage and run into the streams. Need to try anchovies and see how it all works. Awesome video and what a day of fishing.
Hey I think you measure salmon from the tip of the nose to the fork of the tail. On that small salmon it looked like you were measuring to the tip of the tail. Love your videos. Maybe just the camera angle.
I have a detail question: So if you have 30ft of line back before clipping on the downrigger, how far up does the bait ride, due to drag, from where the down rigger ball is set? If you ball is dropped to 30 is your bait running at 20? 25?
Adam you were 100% right on that silver I haven’t seen many but you know as soon as you look at them they’re different than the kings also props to the way you handled it, I think they’re like sturgeon you can take pics if you keep them in the water. Good luck out there and be safe
Is that a knotted or a knott-less net? I think I may have seen a bunch of scales come off when you netted that wild silver. A knott-less rubber-coated net might be a good investment if you see scales coming off while netting. Either which way, love your approach to fishing and will continue to be a fan!
I agree a knotless net would be better but it is hard to find a net that is knotless and big enough for salmon fishing. If I had known it was a coho salmon earlier then I would have skipped the net completely.
Man I cringed with fear when that second salmy spit that hook out, then when your stringer almost mained you..lol. I know you're a big boy but geez wear the shades when you're fishing with barbless 👀 😎. That was a beautiful silver tho! I hope their population here in CA restores within our lifetime, and equally beauty of a king!
Also if he was wearing the shades the stringer might not have smacked them off of his hat visor! I like how he finished the video unaware that they were caught in his hood
Hey dude, I dig watching you fish. Um I was watching you heat up a tv dinner. I was thinking that you might be eating the fruits of your labor. Like some fresh fish or even last night fish with rice. seeing you enjoying it would make me more envious. I'm in the high desert. Rarely would I be able to do what you do :)
Man that first one was a monster as well holy cow. What a great day of fishing, and a kick ass video. Love it you always hook into something. We love the adventures. Keep them coming plz.
Way to hang in there Adam! Nice feesh! How do you deal with the audio when the wind comes up? Narrative is coming through clear and I can tell the wind is blowing pretty good. Can't be just camera mikes???
Am I the only one cringing when that second fatty was getting bled with no net underneath? Man, what if it had one last death wiggle!? Love your vids. Keep up the great work.
Coho or silvers also will only have small spot on the upper lobe of the tail if any and Chinook with have large dots on both upper and lower lobes of the tail.
I've seen spots on the lower lobe on Coho, and there's a run of Up River Bright Chinook in the Columbia that have no spots on the tails. The color of the gums is the only true identifier.
YOU ned to learn to "SET YOUR HOOK' PULL HARD AND SET THE HOOK!!!!!!!! the first fish you didn't set the hook ,the second fish you did set the hook the third fish you pulled once but I don't think you set the hook very well. We'll see. DON'T DO THIS ! A 50LB. SALMON CAN PULL HIM AROUND FOR HOURS IN A KAYAK!
you can also tell by the spots on the back (crome coho bigger fewer spots, crome kings more smaller spots). also a small spike gaff is nice for unhooking so you dont have to deal with the net!
Thanks for the tips!

Great video. Wanted yo know what's your setup from flasher to bait, going out soon for the first time and looking for a setup. Thanks.
Have you tried the okuma cold water line counter reel ?
The record silver salmon in California was caught spawning up Paper Mill creek at White house pool Tomales bay............22 lbs
Very nice King limit!! In Seward, AK 10-12 lb. August silvers are not uncommon.
Great catches....looked stormy. What are your wind and swell thresholds the would keep you onshore.
So how do you keep your catch on the kayak? Do you keep em in the water or do you have an ice bag?
Epic bro! Do you run braid on your downrigger or steel cable?
Hey I think you measure salmon from the tip of the nose to the fork of the tail. On that small salmon it looked like you were measuring to the tip of the tail. Love your videos. Maybe just the camera angle.
It is tip of the nose to the tip of the tail where I am fishing.
I have a detail question: So if you have 30ft of line back before clipping on the downrigger, how far up does the bait ride, due to drag, from where the down rigger ball is set? If you ball is dropped to 30 is your bait running at 20? 25?
It all depends on a lot of different factors (speed, current, weight of down rigger ball, etc.)
Nice catch 👍🎣Don’t you worry about sharks with fish hanging off your kayak?
Nice catch for your kayak send off. Nice PB on silver. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Thanks for watching!
You had a lot of fun.... Listening at 15:39, I swore I heard your heart pounding, or maybe it was mine? I know, it was you pumping the pedals! :)
I think it was you and me both!
Loos like some hogs, cant wait too watch! Would love to see you back in the PCNF with Jordan and Addicted Fishing
I caught a 15 pound coho in Bodega 3 weeks ago
Nice! Good to hear there are some bigger silvers swimming around and hopefully spawning later this year
We’re you off Marin..I saw the Outer Limits on the background a few times
WHERE YOU FISHING AT?
Nice salmon! I miss fishing salmon in the bay, for it has been about 35 years at least!
Any tips for fishing youtuber?
Come up to Coeur d’Alene and fish Kokanee and Chinook.

That was nice you hit the zone.
Super excited to get out there

I hope the silvers can make a comeback too!
Man the first one looks tiny in comparison. Thanks for the video!

Did you not listen to what he was saying during the ad? The people from the tv dinner company sponsored his video... That was the ad...
What area are you fishing? Cuz I have caught about 10 coho this year and most of them about 5 to 8 pounds
That was nice silver. We got a 17 lb silver in the mouth of the columbia river. Biggest silver i’ve ever seen.
Thats huge!!!!!
What a great salmon season up there!
so shaker is the west coast term for short??
Yes
What length lamiglas rod is that?!
Man that first one was a monster as well holy cow. What a great day of fishing, and a kick ass video. Love it you always hook into something. We love the adventures. Keep them coming plz.
Thanks!
Cool thanks buddy for sharing
Nice job man you be king of the kayaks!!
Way to hang in there Adam! Nice feesh! How do you deal with the audio when the wind comes up? Narrative is coming through clear and I can tell the wind is blowing pretty good. Can't be just camera mikes???
Congrats, huge!
Thank you for sharing your catches!
How much to wear some of our gear on a video?
what happened to your motorized kayak?
You’re having an epic chrome season!
Nice fight with the last salmon 🍣
Nice work on a windy day. Congrats.
Thanks 👍
Nice salmon bro!!!
good job bro congratulations
Can people catch king salmon from the shore or do we need a boat?
If you wanted him to swim to your right, why not just turn the kayak slightly to the right and get him on the side you wanted?
Oh yeah , nice catch !
I was so sure you were going to drop that fish toward the end of the video, I was hyperventilating. So glad you didn't.
Great catch again Adam. Your the greatest.Job well done.
Awesome catch.
Good Job Dude!!!!!
Congrats Adam!
You can’t keep the King Salmon, only Silvers? Is it not the season for King Salmon?
What an epic hit, that was so awesome 👌, keep it up Adam
Awesome! Love the vids!
Great job and nice video as always! I gave you a shout out on my latest video. Wanted to let people know where my shirt was from 👍🏼
Nice job on those salmon! Congrats to you and your buddy Ian!
The salmon streak continues
Damn, you almost lost an eye twice.
Am I the only one cringing when that second fatty was getting bled with no net underneath? Man, what if it had one last death wiggle!? Love your vids. Keep up the great work.
lol, just realized that looked risky but I actually had it attached to the stringer in that clip
Last bait pay off.
Killing it like always
Well done Adam once again you’re the diehard fisherman you’ll be eating well.
No talking on the phone while fishing? lol
Now THAT was a takedown! Too bad a silver. That big fish was fat. Great Vid.

@@losaturn90 nope
@@rowland84outdoors11 Yep.
Nice
Oh you caught a Silver, why can’t you keep it? It is not the season for Silver?
Where is your significant other to have meal ready when you get home?
I'm latino, but guessing Asians may be similar. There is always something to eat in the fridge.... :)
Everytime you mess with your phone you get smashed
