When I originally joined the army in 2017 I went in with an 11x option 40 contract. I failed RASP, integrity violation. Which basically means ehh kid we don't fucking like you lol. But all I ever joined the army for was to be in the regiment so once I got to my unit (10th MTN at FT drum) I did everything I could to try to get another shot at rasp. All my leadership were lazy pricks and not at all what I thought the army would be like lol I had to get out into regiment. Luckily I got a cool PSG who pushed me into a slot at rasp. I've been with 3rd batt now for almost 3 years and am an E-5 now looking to re up this coming summer. I'll tell ya what, you wanna do the cool army shit you see on the videos. Go 75th it'll save you a lot of bullshit from regular units.
Jacob yeah I know what you’re talking about. I have 11x option 40 contract, meaning you go through basic, ait, airborne, rasp, THEN ranger school. But I know not everyone has that same order and infantry officers are some of the biggest groups of guys that go through there. What I was saying is in most cases that’s how it would be (if everything works out perfectly) but I get where you’re coming from 💪🏻
When I was in Marine boot we had a Marine Vietnam veteran who attended The Ranger course speak to my platoon. He said that when he did the rope climb to the ranger tab, instead of screaming “Ranger, Ranger, Ranger” on the way down into the water he yelled “Marine Corps” the whole way down. When he got out of the water the instructor called him over and furiously told him to do the obstacle again. The Marine replied “I get to do it again?! Oh boy hell yes!” The instructor told him to move on after that. Major Mike St. Claire I believe was the Marine’s name. One bad mother.
Why is the U.S.Army always camped out in every Jarhead's head? Had a "ex marine" in my unit at Bragg who got out of the marines and came back into the Army and went Airborne and Ranger School and was so impressed with both Schools he got Airborne Wings and the Ranger Tab tattooed on his chest. He always talked about how much the DIs at Parris Island were always trying to talk crap to them about the Army, almost a daily thing. The Army could care less about the Marine Corp, it's much bigger and has better equipment and gear too.
Marcus Payne haha 😂😂 impresses by airborne school.. I’ve been and I wasn’t impressed at fucking all💁🏼♂️ however military free fall is way more profession then army airborne. Ridiculous statement
